It was an alternative to smoking that the hubby and I both agreed on... and it should be noted he is just about as close to an anti smoker as one can get and still decide to fall madly in love with and marry a smoker...

My husband and I have been married for 27 yrs. He's been trying to get me to quit since the 1st date. He has asthma and never smoked. Yeah, he understands it hard to quit but I could never smoke in the house or car or near him. Now I vape in the house and in the car. He doesn't smell it and is perfectly fine with it. I feel FREE for once in my former smoking life! I often wondered how he put up with my smells and to even kiss my ashtray mouth! Now that I'm analog free - I smell cigarettes on people in grocery stores etc and it is totally gross. I never minded it when I smoked nor did I smell it. Now I realized I married a Saint.

HAHA... I am right there with you. Everytime I walk past someone who has been smoking I will make a face and the hubby just laughs....

For my health (that isn't a category in this poll, so I picked "trying to quit smoking"). Having COPD, I can't continue smoking as I did.

I will be tested for COPD in June. In November, I had a chest Xray and CAT scan and they saw a tiny nodule. It's too small for them to do a biopsy (they may puncture my lung in the process). So...not knowing what it will say in 6 months - I quit cold turkey the day with the day I had my Pulmonary appointment. Why push the veil? It was a wake up call for me to stop NOW. E Cigs have been a godsend. I wish for your COPD to stop its progression. My dad died of emphysema in 2002 due to smoking for over 60 yrs. You would think seeing him would have made me quit right then and there. Instead I started up again after 1 year of smoke free. :::smacks head::: What was I thinking? I could defy the laws of probability? I wish you the best in your non-smoking endeavors.

My father died of the same, 4 years ago, which is when my doctor insisted I get a breathing function test. I wish I'd found e-cigs a lot sooner, but thank goodness I finally did! I had quit for 5 years about 15 years ago, but picked up the nasty habit again eventually as well. I wish you the best too and I thank you for your kind words!
