Petrodus, maybe this is too obvious, stupid and/or out of bounds, but every time I see your signature,

"When you're born in this world...You get a ticket to the Freak Show.
If you're born in America...You get a front row seat"

I get the urge to change it to

"When you're born in this world...You get a ticket to the Freak Show.
If you're born in America...You're on the stage"

True ...
But as we all know here ... There's no such thing in America as Limited Regulations.
Ya give the regulators an inch and they will regulate it to the point of insanity.
Its very difficult to fight regulations with the "Regulator in Chief" is in the White House

The government now wants to regulate energy drinks so only can be sold
to those over 21. Sooner or later everything in America will be regulated.
For your own good ... don't ya know !!

Exactly. Government could rely on a single study that said vaping over 3.7v produces warm vapor that is irritating to the lungs. Government could suck that up and issue a regulation on VV mods.

I wise man told me...Unless there's a revolution...
In the future the government will regulate every thing
and even dictate what can and can't eat.
I laughed

When governments fear the people, there is liberty.
When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.
Thomas Jefferson

When the people are beholden to government, they are forced to vote for the candidate that promises to keep the sustenance coming. Independence only exists when the individual is not dependent on anyone other than his present employer. Government's job, IMO, is to create an environment where opportunities exist for all, not to hand out checks in lieu of opportunity for the purpose of maintaining voter loyalty.

I agree that government should prop up the populace in bad times. The problem is that the prop still works in good times. It's a continuing battle for the purchased vote.

BTW, I'm not against the mentally and physically challenged portion of our population being helped by government, but that's where is should end for the most part. Spend the money on job programs, not votes.

I cringe when I see articles such as this.
Massachusetts Mails Out 500,000 Voter Registration Forms to Welfare Recipients in Effort Led by Former ACORN Honchos

I thought that may be stretched for truth until I ran across this one from the Boston Herald.

... Now, back to the government regulation discussion.
