something called antivirus xp pro.. it says you have a virus.. does virus like things or what it thinks you will think are virus like things..

turns off your task manager does some other clever things to stop you getting rid of it or shutting it down.. its intention is to get to to buy this antivirus xp pro to clear your system of the mess its turned it into... he he
very clever and very nasty.. and genuinely hard to get rid off..

Our computer at work got some kind of virus that would not let you go into your windows ,unless your paid 89.00 to get rid of it. You could not even see your desktop.
When You reboot all you got was this program. I had to go into safe mode to deal with it. Could not delete it in safe mode either. So I disable it. Than got into my windows and delete it and ran my virus protection and spyware.

hey trog, hi and hello.
there was a post at your forum in german that had a list of items, and when i clicked one my windows one care poped up saying a virus is loading and one care has stopped it...please wait. 90 sec. later it said the name and action taken.( i am on a different computer and cant get to now) i clicked report the post but have not went back, did you or somebody see that?

I have had 2 clients in the last 2 weeks with that virus plus AntiSpyware 2009, Vundo and others. I've told them many times TO STEP AWAY FROM THE MOUSE and call me when they even think they have a virus! But do they obey? No, they click click click until they've activated every virus possible.
So, are you all clean now?
