Number one is battery life. Regular length batteries have a long vaping life between chargings. I can only imagine how long the extra long bats last.

Number two is no messy cartridges. I own 3 other ecig models, a super mini, a 901 (I think, the seller doesnt say what it is) and a joye 510. All of these have very messy, leaky cartridges. I have to keep them stored right side up and be very careful of how they travel, which means good chances of leakage in my purse. banish the thought. Yes, each of these models have good points, as do all ecigs. But I hate getting eliquid all over my hands and fingers when handling. With these other ecig cartridges, getting eliquid on your fingers is constant, no matter if just handling or refilling.

Number three is no atty cleaning! Can I get an Amen? No cleaning of attomizers. No spilling over of flavors because you cant get the previous flavor out of your attomizers. No maintenance. I love the KR8 Cartomizers. Use just pop on a new carto and vape. Doesnt get any easier or cleaner than that.

So I use my KR808D-1 Vapor King almost exclusively. It is so long lasting and so sanitary and clean. I just screw on a new or refilled very clean carto and vape. Store the filled or refilled cartos with the little rubber endcaps and your good to go. No matter what position they are in. Refilling the empty cartos is very easy simple and sanitary also. Just pop off the rubber cap, refill and replace the cap. No leakage seeping out or fouling your fingers. Nice and clean. You can handle these things all day without ever getting eliquid on your fingers.

Sometimes I do use my 510 when I'm in the mood for LESS throat hit. Like I said, there are good things about all ecigs. But it's my KR8 that I take with me traveling. I can always rely on it for consistent preformance. I love that the cartos dont leak. My other ecig cartridges are always messy. Even when capped. There seems to be no way of not ending up with eliquid on my fingers when handling them.

I love my KR8 for many reasons of convenience and cleanliness. If you are a new vaper or havent tried the KR808D-1. Do yourself a favor. Try it. It will make your vaping experience much easier and enjoyable without all the hassle. Find a good vendor. Vapor4Life is where I go. Great products and Customer Service.

The KR8 is what vaping is all about for me. I like my 510, but I LOVE my KR8.

Good luck and happy vaping!

I havent tried the 510 cartos yet. I'm wondering how easy they are to refill. Let us know your experience. Seems like from what I've read that you have to pop off the soft cap and peirce the inner sheild to refill. But I've also seen the 510 Boge cartos that only require that the outer cap be removed for refilling. I havent tried those yet. They would really have to outpreform my KR8 cartos to switch me over. The Boge 510 Cartos do seem to be quite comparable to the KR8 Cartos. But then theres battery life between charges. I would be very willing to try them though. So far, from the 4 ecigs I've used, the KR8 beats everything hands down. This is only a personal opinion. But I know what I like and what gives me the most pleasant, no hassle, less messy vaping experience. So far its the KR8.

The 510 cartomizers I have are from Madvapes and are made by Bauway. I think I read that most rate the Boge as better. The ones i have don't have a seal to pierce so fill pretty much the same as the KR8s. They don't seem to have as much filler as the KR8s and also seem to leak juice out the bottom (threaded end) more easily. You also can't stand them up on the threaded end easily due to the male threading on the 510 vs the KR8 female threading. I still like the KR8 better after initial use, but I got some LR 510 cartomizers and due to that they work better for TH and speed. They of course kill batteries faster and use the juice faster. Flavor does seem more pronounced with the 510, but I wouldn't say better or worse, just different.

The KR8 has always been the best for simplicity, however the vapor production and performance compared to a 510 was holding it back, but now there are the newer Ultra / Premium cartos out, they really do shine big time, the 510 copied the idea and brought out cartos too but it still doesn't change the fact the 510 battery sucks and it still makes more sense to just get a KR8 in the first place if you're into cartos. If you're wanting a bigger battery ego type mod then i can understand using 510 cartos but if you want the best cig sized PV then there is no comparison.

I just got an 808 yesterday and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I realize what an absolute mess the 510 is, popular doesn't equal better.

My only complaint is the charger, it requires some fiddling and I'm never quite sure if it's charging or not.

Like vhs and ms windows... the chip in the kanger is at the bottom of the battery instead of near the cart and holds up a long time. Less chance of shorting the chip with juice. just drain any spillage before you draw on it if you accidentally overfill a cart.

I am happy to hear the positive feedback on the KR808D-1. I started with Green Smoke and Red Dragon. I like their carts but the batteries fail pretty quickly. I got a KR808D-1 passthrough and I love it. I am now waiting on my 5th replacement p/t from RD. None of theirs lasted over a week and 3 of them were unusable out of the box. The 808 is awesome so I ordered another one and a reg & xl battery. So far I have only bought carts from Bloog and want to try V4L's carts because they have so many flavors. I thought long & hard before switching brands and this forum really helped me decide.

Thread rez !

LOL, sorry but I just had too !

I'm really happy I found this thread because I just ordered a kr808 as my first E-cig. I know tons and tons of people love the Ego and I am actaul planning on gettin an Ego next week, but I needed a E-cig I could twiddle with. I was really concerned I was going to be trading battery life for twiddling, but I am much less worried now.

I also wanted something easy, I've never done this before and the Ego and others looked complicated. They prollly look more complicated then they are, but I wanted something I'd be able to vape right out of the box.

Dang, now i am all excited all over again !

If you end up liking the KR8 you can order an ego type battery to use with what you already bought. The elegant (cigeasy) and defender (vapornine) are KR8 compatible fat batts that are essentially ego clones but with different threading. At any rate, the ego or a clone are not that complicated either. The complication may come from using the ego with a 510 atty cartridge combo. 510 does have cartomizers too like the KR8.

Good luck.

I started with titan 510, then riva 510. Because eeevryone kept telling me that I wouldnt be happy with the kr8... Well I certainly was NOT happy with constantly topping of, liquid all over the place.Cant store anywhere without bathing pouch or case in juice... hello driving in the dark and dripping!! Noo. And the pcc.. ha what a laugh... Cant put leaky carts and attys in there!!. Good smooth TH and flavour experience, hmm maybe once in a while, but most of the time i was unsatisfied.. And you know what happens when a woman is unsatisfied.... not good.... finally just ordered the kr8 in spite of all the warnings and..... Bliss!! Hits the sweet spot every single time I pick it up.... enough said.. Kr8 all day, every day....

I feel very fortunate to have started with the KR808D-1 and also love it. I have only used the WOW carts from V4L which I also really like. I don't see changing the carts or the device anytime soon. I also got a passthrough and like it. My next step will be to try refilling carts since I just ordered some 120 ml liquids at 40% from FreedomSmokeUSA. Haven't had a problem with any carts getting hot on the KR808 or the passthrough, but I take small frequent vapes (asthma). As my lung function improves my vapes may get longer so I'll keep the CoolCarts in mind to solve this problem if it arises.
