A lot of my friends have mods, and I've tried a few, and you certainly get a huge cloud from most of them, but I'm not looking to win any cloud contests, and I personally prefer my V2 EX auto batty with a clearomizer. Its nice and light and I can grip it with my teeth. I have heard Kanger makes rebuildable tanks for 808 thread. (I might try some of those next)

That's lovely and all, but that would only last about 3 hours at best for me. I'm not in any cloud blowing contest, I'm satisfying a nic craving.

Sounds to me like you're trying to compete in a beauty pageant though. Would you like a tiara to go with that nose in the air?

Welcome. I to stated on the small 808 V2 cigalikes. Learned how to refill the little cartos with e juice that I purchased to save more money. Thought I would be content with this setup. Started lurking this forum and decided to get an ego twist. Liked it even better. Next stepped up to trying a protank 2 mini instead of the ce4 catomizers. Wow, I really liked these. Next I new it, I had 5 ego twist batteries of different mah and 4 protank minis. Am now enjoying my Vamo V5 that came in the mail yesterday. All of this in my 2 1/2 short months of vaping. As others have said, whatever works for you and helps keep you off of the analogs is all you need. HD.

Well, a nice fedora would be cool but I'll pass on the tiara LOL! Also, I can generally get through the whole day with my EX battery if it has a full charge, and I vape quite a bit. I do carry 2 shorties and 2 clearo's for back up in case I need them, but I usually don't. It all fits in a hard shell sunglass case. Apologies if I sounded snooty, just expressing an opinion.

I do what I think a lot of the folks here also do .... Have a couple of vaporizers

I have a heavy Kayfun and Caravela I use around the house. And then a lightweight Kanger T2 on top of a small Vision Spinner battery for when I go out somewhere and don't want to carry anything cumbersome and heavy.

Welcome to ECF. Like you, I was content with a simple ego with a kanger t3s for a good amount of time. I then found this forum and several hundred youtube videos of what's out there. I jumped to an MVP with a hybrid davide tank and then just recently went mechanical with an RBA. I like tinkering. If you're a tinkerer, you may find yourself following that path. It hits tinkerers at one point or another.

I'm not inexperienced with cigalikes, or KR808-D1 threading. I do have and daily use a Halo Triton which is KR808-D1 threaded.

But the Halo Triton is my bare minimum for satisfying my nicotine cravings. I smoked a pack+ per day of Camel Filter and Camel 99s for 30 years. I need a lot of nicotine, and cigalikes just do not satisfy my cravings.

For me its not about appearance, it's all about satisfying those cravings. I'll agree that my Nemesis is not as convenient as a cigalike while on the go, but that's an irrelevant point for me, I've got to satisfy those cravings and a small cigalike just doesn't do it.

Have you ever looked at Halo products? I find that their little Triton 650 mAh batteries last me more than a day on a single charge, even when I'm using it exclusively. It's KR808-D1 threaded, so all of your 808 stuff would fit on their Triton batteries, and they have some excellent tanks and mini tanks as well as their G6 cigalike carts. All of their G6 parts work on the Triton battery as well.

They have some fantastic juices as well. Kringle's Curse is my absolute favorite.

it's all a matter of preference
I love mech mods and it is all I use but have a friend that's been vaping for 3 years and hes really happy with his greensmoke cigalikes and prefilled cartos
As soon as I got into mech's I pif all my other stuff
here is just a size comparison
ego and a rda (pif the beauty ring) | cigalike | 350 mod and a rda

It seems to be a trend round here unfortunately to read ALL...of what the OP has to say about what they are really looking for....

What I picked up on is you want something that is hands free (auto)....and that is light enough that you can hang from the teeth/lips...

And it took a big detour to get there but yeah...halo... being 808 threaded....their tanks and mini tanks would also fit your current batteries as well...

Other than that I have no advise because my preferences are far from yours and wouldn't attempt to influence you from your preference...

Another 808 user! I used to be one. Check out MadVapes, Smokeless Image, Bloog, Vapor4Life and Vapor King for other stuff for your 808's.

I only stopped using 808's because I prefer dripping and couldn't find a bottom feeder with a native 901 connection. Still use some 901 atomizers with it on occasion.

And if you want the best automatic vape you'll ever experience, check out the Echo. Its eGo sized though, but it still has the best automatic switch you're likely to ever find. Mountain Vapor should still have them in stock.

Whatever works for you, stick with it! I wish someone would have told me this in the beginning. It would have saved me a ton of cash! I tried the popular stuff and somehow realized that what I had worked just fine! I have upgraded my battery system but the tanks and juices are pretty much where I started at. No matter what everyone else is using or doing, what really matters is that YOU are satisfied and content. As you progress, you may want to venture out and try new things but be cautious about spending a lot of cash on something you are not sure of as this will lead to a box or drawer of trophies. My:2c:

BTW.....Welcome to the best support and educational site on the planet!! Glad you are here!!

You didn't sound snooty at all.:) Welcome to the forum, and thanks for sharing your experience with all of us. There are so many roads to vaping success, and I'm glad you have found the one for you. What you wrote will be helpful to someone who is looking for something that is small, compact, and easy to carry around and use.

I'm a grandma, ha! don't vape in public much, so I didn't care much what my set up looks like. I'm home a lot, enjoying doing things I love to do. I wanted something that was easy to use, didn't need to be charged all the time, and was dependable. I'm not into rebuilding or fiddling with stuff. I just want to fill up a tank that doesn't leak, vape my juice, and not smoke!

I started with a couple of ego batteries and toppers, which I liked a lot, and let me ditch the cigarettes. I just got the MVP 2, which is about the size of a cell phone, performs great, and lasts for 2 days without charging. It kind of looks like I'm using a walkie-talkie when I'm vaping with it, which amuses my grandchildren.:D

One thing about the cigalike stuff is you can expect to get consistency; and so long as you can afford it, it's ok.

For those who want to reduce wasted costs the search is for a completely reusable system where the only or main cost is in the eliquids.

With 'mod's much of the bulk is in the large batteries. But when you think about it, carrying around 2 2000 mAh batteries...... maybe carring around 10 300 mAh cigalike batteries is better; the big batteries and passthroughs are a necessity for chainvapers; but the cigalike size works about good for those who smoke less than half pack a day anyway.

I understand exactly what you're saying. If there's a "progression" then I "regressed." I started out with Egos 3.3/3.7 volts, went to USB VV up to 4.5 volts, then Ego VVs up to 4.8 volts... on to Vamo and The Slip. Nope, something was missing... portability, looks and feel. Got an Erolll to provide all those and I'm now happy. The Eroll atty hits the same as on any 3.7 volt battery or setting I've used so no loss in vape quality. I still use my other setups at home but if I'm running around or want the feel of a smoke, its the Eroll I carry or reach for. Well, out and about its not only the Eroll. I also use an Njoy Bold for tight situations where I need the nic strength but the hit of the Njoy and Eroll are pretty much the same with the Eroll being a tad better but only in vapor quantity and 42mgs Njoy Bold feels about the same as 36mgs in an Eroll.

I would prefer cigalikes if they worked well. I think a majority of the American public would as well. I have a couple VV3's that I use when I'm going out. I just feel weird carrying some huge mod around. I have a 134 Mini and. ProVari mini that I use in the car, at home, and at work. I honestly feel the Blu model of replaceable prefilled cartos is what most smokers would want, but currently they are underpowered, and have a lot of issues with battery life and dried out cartos. The first company that truly gets the cigalike right is going to take off like wildfire.
