Good news is my USPS is showing my Reo Grand as out for delivery. Bad news is it has signature confirmation so since I work for a living it won't be there when I get home. Not sure when I'll be able to go to the post office and deal with that mess of an organization to get it. Sad panda.

I would be feeling very sick. I'd smell a sick day coming on..........

This is weird, must be my mailbox setup being different. My Reos get left in it just fine for some reason.

Lazy post person is what that is. My regular carrier does that crap, the one who delivers when the regular person is off does not. I do not appreciate the lazy post person putting it in the communal box, I have had too many packages misdelivered.

Breaking the rules. I wonder....if something happened and the REO wasn't there....who would show as having signed for it? Are they forging your name? Defeats the whole purpose of requiring a signature. And they charge extra for that service, too. I'd think you could get someone in trouble. It may seem convenient and all well and good....until something goes wrong and a REO gets stolen.

Maybe, if you live in an apartment complex, the management signs for it then leaves it in your individual mailbox?

And that right there is the whole reason signatures are required now. Back in the beginning, Rob sent them out without sigs required. Some were stolen, perhaps a few not "stolen" ...but in the end, he was replacing mods that never made it to their destinations....very costly for him. Best way for him to protect his and our investments was to make sure they were signed for. Theft still happens...most often when the carrier isn't getting a signature, but it isn't happening near as much.

My mail lady is a little sweetie, (if she wasn't married she'd be even more of a sweetie). When I have a signature package she drives up the dirt road to the house and knocks on the door. If I'm not home or the snow is too deep she leaves it in my locked mail box with the slip on top of it, I sign it when I get the mail and just leave it in the box for her.

(A Christmas card every year with a little green paper in it does wonders.)

I always figured that if something came up missing that was supposed to be signed for and wasn't -- that is when the carrier is gonna get into trouble. I would assume they would then become liable for NOT doing their job. Last signature I had was the sub delivering it, and lazy girl wouldn't even come to the door and I couldn't make it to the truck. My box locks and is one of those community boxes with a bunch of others. The carrier just puts them in the wrong boxes!

Which reminds me, no one answered my questions earlier:
Does Rob send parts with a signature requested also?
And the 2nd half was, if my A7 was metered correctly and working fine on my Grand, is there anything I should know about the 2.0 that may have contributed to the short? Because I am wondering if I shorted it earlier with the full size A7 and the extension and just thought it was a dead battery so put it down and picked up my Grand. I am trying to figure out how the heck this happened, as it is the first time I have EVER had a short collapse a spring. It makes no sense? The A7 and mini are fine, yet the spring collapsed anyway? Maybe something to do with the extension? What am I missing?

Valerie, parts do not come with sig needed for delivery.

I would suspect the center bottom post as the cause of the short. It could have caused the short, yet the A7 meters correct. You have to really watch for the center sticking out too much or wobbling. If you are using or had used an adapter that could have been the problem. Check the bottom of the adapter. The center should be flush and not sticking out.

When the collapse happens you will usually hear the battery fall towards the door. Kinda a clunk. If you did set yours back down you might not have noticed that.

Yay, I was able to leave work a little early so I got the new Reo Grand in hand. Per the suggestions I'm starting with the shorty carto though I also have some attys to try from Ikenvapes next.

First thought is it is smaller than I expected from the pictures.

So far I'm still trying to figure out the little carto. It seems to prefer slower tempo vaping versus my usual chain vape.

Also trying to figure out a comfortable way to hold the Reo that doesn't unseat the door when I press the button. I seem to unseat the door half the time I pick it up.

I put on and already removed the button cover. I like the feel of the cover but with it on the button would "turn off" frequently while vaping. Not sure what I was doing but somehow it was getting turned enough to "turn off" the button.

So excited to have the new PV, but still your help working out the kinks. Grin.

Yes there are two little circular magnets on the body and the door at the top of the unit. I can feel them providing a little resistance to the door. The door won't just drop off - it stays in place if I shake the unit. But it moves pretty easily if I press against it which sometimes happens when I reach for the button. This is one reason why I asked how people are holding and firing.

My first impulse is to pick it up with the door facing me and the more rounded corners of the back in my palm, lay my thumb across the door pointing up, and press the button with my index finger. But this motion sometimes unseats the door. It isn't falling off - it is getting pushed ajar some.

I've been trying a few other ways - looking for one that doesn't mess with the door and that is comfortable.

Huh...so I am under the impression the magnets are repelling each other. Am I correct?

About the button cover. Since your device is new...the throw and turn of the button is really smooth and easy. So the button turning with the slightest directional pressure is not uncommon. It will tend to stiffen up with use a little. If it becomes too much of an annoyance, you can remove the lock pin...just be aware doing so removes the "on/off" feature.

Removing the locking pin is easy. After you get situated with the door and holding. I can help you with the pin. I just did the same to two of mine, with advice from Bushmaster here in the forum.

Holding the Reo:
It sounds like you are holding it with either the button to the left, or to the right. Everyone I've seen with a Reo, including myself, either holds with the button up (and fire with the index finger) or with the button down (and fire with the thumb). Up/down implying that you tilt the Reo back towards you to make it comfortable to put the mouthpiece in your mouth. In other words, your thumb is resting on one of the thin sides of the mod.

I hold my Grand in my right hand, with my pinky finger under it, three fingers on the side, back against my palm. Push the button with my thumb. Nothing touching the door to make it move.

I use the button top. When I put my thumb against it I first touch the edge and turn it to the left, then on top to fire. It becomes second nature to do the little turn first. It is lots easier with the button top to give the button that turn.

To keep the door a little tighter on the mod, cut a small piece of craft felt (you can get it at Michaels, or Hobby Lobby or maybe Walmart) and use some double sided tape or I use Elmer's Glue Runner (used by scrap book crafters to put stuff in scrap books) and put it inside the REO in back of where the battery goes. It will force the battery tight against the door. You will still be able to easily remove the door when needed, but it won't just slide off or rattle.

Ditto exactly .... unless were talking mini 2.x then its two fingers under and two around the mod. I have some nerve damage in my left hand so I always use my right and the thumb works much better than any of my fingers.
