Welcome to the board.
I used to use the eversmoke e-cig and found the pre-filled cartridges to be inconsistent and overall not that satisfying, I'm not saying you'll have the same experience, heck you might even love them. Unless you must have something that resembles the size of a real cig I would say send it back. Not sure which starter you bought but lets assume you got the deluxe at 79.99 and a 15 pack of cartridges for 40, for that money you could buy an ego starter kit and a lot more juice and flavor options for the 120 spent under this scenario. They make most their money off the consumables not the batteries and being proprietary, you only have 2 options, buy the sample pack or 15 pack, which you may not like anyway and then your stuck with a bunch of carts you may or may not use.
Trust me, they sent me 6 free batteries within a year when I contacted customer service re: battery issues. Customer service is great, as should be. Join their monthly membership and they send you cartridges every month and add a lifetime warranty to the batteries. If you do go with eversmoke and your batteries stop working after a year, become a member, wait til they ship and cancel your membership, that way you'll never pay for new batteries.
Also, if you need a battery that looks like the real thing, I would recommend buying it at a local tobacco or vape shop, where you don't have to buy 15 at a time and there usually not proprietary. plus you can buy blank cartridges and fill them yourself.
As for me, I prefer something that in no way looks like a cigarette and I like to be able to see what I'm about inhale. Not to mention the wonderful flavors...mmm flavors!
Anyway, whatever route you take, I hope works for you. Sometimes it takes the body a while to adjust since your depriving it of those 4000 + toxic chemicals it got used to. Good Luck!
