So I bought a flavor bottle to mix with my DIY and in the ingredients it says it has: Propylene Glycol, flavorings & water. I am allergic to PG and I only vape VG. I am confused right now why is there PG in my flavor? Should it not be just flavor only so I can mix it with my separate VG liquid? This is where I ordered from, can someone check if I ordered the right thing? Capella Flavour Drops
Thanks.

There's only one way to find out, try it! :)
Well that sucks, i'm very confused right now. I used to get my flavour from www.flavourart.co.uk and had no soar throat at all, now I just checked the ingredients on the flavourart bottle and found out that also has PG in it, but it's fine! Both bottles have PG and I only feel the PG in one of them (the new one i just bought) Does anyone have an explanation for this? Thanks!

Well, since most DIY juice that people make at home has about only 10% flavoring in it ... and not all of this 10% flavoring is PG, you might only be looking at about 5%-7% actual PG in the juice you make. That certainly is nowhere even close to the 50% PG juice that used to give you a sore throat.

Try it and see.

And as others have told you already, [most] all concentrated flavorings you buy today that are used specifically for making DIY e-liquid, use PG as a 'carrier' (base) for the actual flavoring chemicals in it.

That makes sense, I just called my local vape shop guy right now and that's exactly what he said.
Thanks for clearing it all up for me :)

Nope I'm definitely allergic to PG since 50/50 juices gives me a soar throat :/
I doubt if the smaller amont of pg will bother you. Pg is known to provide "throat hit" as well as carry flavor well. That throat hit is what is causing your sore throat. Vg is known to mute flavor & throat hit. 50% pg is just too much throat hit for you. It's not an allergic reaction. The amont of pg in your flavoring would probably never be above 30% on the highest end. 30/70 would probably be ok for you since the higher vg will mute the throat hit in the pg.

I'm curious where you got that figure of 30% from. I know that things like menthol, ethyl maltol, sucralose, and acetyl pyrazine are generally sold in only 10% concentration, with the other 90% being pure PG. I would presume the other flavors are in similar concentrations, no? We always count PG-based flavors as 100% PG in the overall PG/VG ratio. That also seems to indicate that they would have a high amount of PG in the general case.

30% total flavorings in a mix. Many "premium" complex juices contain as much as 30% total flavorings per veteran retail mixers here.

Does this mean I will be getting soar throats like I did when I vaped ready made 50/50 VG PG juice?
Not likely. 99.9% of ready made juice is gonna have PG in it from flavoring. That's why they offer MAX (maximum) VG juice NOT 100% VG. If you use that flavoring and add nothing but VG you will be making MAX VG juice.

I'm PG intolerant over about 10%
Nude Nicotine's flavorings are 100% PG-free
4 out of the 18 NN flavorings i tried are tank crackers and a few were yuk but I found 9 that I like.
I use them all single flavor at 6% in Max VG with 3mg (PG) nic & 7% saline for inhalation
I have VG nic but I like to include what PG I can for it's antimicrobial properties.

Here's the link to the NN flavors that I like - Recommended Nude Nicotine Flavor %?
Add Blueberry Mojito to that list.
I listed the tank cracker flavors and how they affected my Crown tank seals elsewhere in that thread.
