That list is not very impressive. There are more e-cig vendors in California alone...

I don't know what they are waiting for, honestly.

That's always been the big question. I think customers worry more about a vape shops survival than the owner sometimes. In SFATA's defense is that it can take awhile to update the webpage. I think CASAA's membership has almost doubled in the last couple of months. However, I wonder how many shops are even aware there's a threat - and a lot of that question is based on what several people have reported about Calif. vendors. I know here, vendors are much more aware. So hopefully it's not like that everywhere.

Hmmm... I looked at the list again and I didn't see any local vendors, yet I know they are active and aware (donated heavily in the auction, members with vaping malitia, CASAA support, yada yada) so I wonder what's going on?

I just sent the whole dam thing over again. If you misplace one little "comma", then you are prohibited from providing your concerns to the government that we pay for. I am understanding more and more why people are so sick of this government. That "hope & change" thing has worked miracles.

Not to turn this thread into a discussion of the American Revolutionary War (or the Prohibition), despite some parallels..

But keep in mind that Americans probably would have lost had they always played by the standard rules of European warfare of the time... :)

I thought it looked really good, but then I was comparing to when I looked last week, when it was probably not more than half that size. I'm hoping it continues to update. I know there is work being done on a Northern California chapter, and probably others I haven't heard about yet.

In the meantime, we should all be encouraging vendors to join, along with encouraging them to talk about CASAA with their customers! :)

I remember when that list was 3 to 5 companies. Hard to imagine all those companies not surviving the new era. I hope they all do.

Aren't V2 (one of the) founders of SFATA?

Honestly, I'm not sure if they (V2) are or not.... I'm sure SJ and/or others knows.

SFATA would be more of interest to vendors who sell nationally at this point. Local mom & pop shops would probably be better served by local organizations along the same line. Not sure about other states, but I know Dimitri has started a state organization in Tennessee that is similar to SFATA but basically on the state level. If this can happen in other states, it could lead to a tiered approach possibly - state organization --> SFATA...

Things like this will help us get more organized nationally. It is important for the industry to have both CASAA(consumer interests) and SFATA(vendor interests).

If you're interested in doing something similar in PA (or any other state) I'm pretty sure that Dimitri would be happy to help.

Do you know if Dimitri has written something up or done a broadcast on this specific topic? The only one I'm aware of was a broadcast but the idea was mentioned in passing, among a lot of other things. I'd like to post something in a couple of local forums just about organizing for vendors / why it benefits them. I know several belong to Vaping Malitia (personally) and it's possible they think that's enough.

As I am V2 patron and have been for more than 2 years, I kinda knew this and was asking half rhetorically, and half in vein of, "not really sure, need a little help here."

Which is interesting to me (that they are) because I recall them 2 years ago being like, "we welcome regulations." And have clearly established their business in mode of 'be prepared.'

Also interesting that the game now is 'be organized' and help each other to the nth degree to overcome onerous regulations. All that has to matter going forward, both during the fight together and the aftermath.

I look forward to our side winning.

I heard about it on Facebook, he was posting in several of the TN vapers groups.
