Dear Cube,

Like all my vapes lately, we have entered a new, in some ways kinder and gentler environment, and in some ways a harsher, droppier environment.

However, I think it is POOR form (especially when I drop you oh perhaps ONE inch) and you somehow want me to know that your lovely looking, oh so solid round and decorated panel is like, just GLUED on and really not that great of a glue either. Apparently.

It's just GLUE and it's glued right to the battery I guess and I have NO clue how dropping that would even CAUSE that problem, honestly and perhaps some superglue would do the trick, but maybe it's SUPPOSED to be like some aeration or something but I call:

FOUL if you are going to glue stuff to other stuff on a mod that well, unless I drop it in a can of solvent I don't see why it should come unglued. PERHAPS if I was prying at you with a nail file or something, that would be fair. But not this. The floor wasn't even damp.

Cube, you were cute to me and now I see your dark, seething underbelly.

It's probably my fault, I bought you for the MTL topper the MTL engine, which I have never built because I was running out of grub screws and then I have forgotten to ask the husband for help.

But yeah, I'm still gonna tell my vape friends on you. Sorry.

Sincerely,
Your Owner,
Anna

Sorry for your relationship crisis. [emoji23]

That's the problem with majority of Chinese stuff. It works well. Unless you do something minimal not in their economy and poor materials plans.

I was looking for a Cube to use my poor Zeus X (yes, I'm resisting to put it aside even thinking it is just a poor rta), but when I got one in my hands instantly changed my mind. Will take something cheaper with the same quality.

I'm not taking the side of it off NOW AGAIN. Jesus.

Well, I guess I could because I'm really considering like, some superglue for reals.

Or, another target mini if I HAVE to have another internal battery mod. I dropped that thing in hot coffee TWICE and not only did nothing come unglued, I just placed it in front of a fan (it was press fit) and it was FINE. Press fit.

Now I know what a non-lithium ion battery looks like up close and personal. Whee. Like I have ALWAYS wanted to know that. It looks DANGEROUS is what it looks like. Traumatizing. LOL.

You know... I could just send you my cube and you can take pics. But I'm not paying for shipping though. That is my line in the sand.

I dropped an Aspire Speeder onto a hard floor once and one of the cheap plastic door latches cracked off, so the door would not firmly close. It resulted in loose (hey when's the last time you saw someone on the internet use that word correctly?) contact with the cells. It worked alright but every time the bottom got bumped it would briefly lose (I'm on fire!)power. It turned out that the power loss would cause the mod to forget that I had 5-tap locked it. So when I was carrying around it would unlock itself and then fire in my pocket. When I wanted to use it I pulled it out and it took one foul pull to discover the 10-second safety cutoff was never intended to save the coil—yuck! That piece of crap was what led me to buy an Aegis Legend. I did manage to sell the Speeder on eBay for a profit with a disclaimer to someone who didn't mind.
And yes, I do have pics.

Sorry about the Cube but loved your post!

Over the years I've been lucky, and I have dropped my iSticks quite a few times in the Land of Hard Marble and Tiled Floors where I reside and bide for half of the year - the iSticks have survived it and soldiered on but the tanks were a write off oddly enough.

Still, it gives you an excuse to buy something new, and that can't be all bad...

@stols001 I loved the post too :)

Don't use superglue...more something like a glue gun or contact adhesive and then your good. A chinese operative clearly didn't put quite enough on there :)

@Mordacai Vaping a fly that's flown into your RDA overnight is far worse

@charlie1465, that's just wrong.

And that tape that I mentioned, if you can find it is amazing for sticking things together. It's like the superglue version of double sided sticky tape.

You may have something there.....maybe the fly would get glued to the tape and not my build deck :lol::lol:

Sympathy for you and your poor taste in mods :D

In the pub on Saturday night there was a tribute band playing (bear with me, this tale does have some relevance), anyway at the end of each song there was a brief period of clapping. As is my usual tactic, if one hand is occupied holding a pint, i bang my mod on the table in tribute (this pub allows vaping - even actively encourages it).
Well, to cut this story short i will reveal that the mod in question is a silver ProVari P3. Still looks good as new. :pervy:

Dear stolls001,

I have a similar story. I wish I made a rant that day the build deck on my MTL engine just popped off while only un-screwing the thing to put in a coil. But yeah, that happened. The Mod still works like new, the build deck I managed to hammer back to place but some metal bits fell off that I don't know where to glue back to. I called it a day because I was able to solve my problem. But since you started to tell your friends, I'm here to do the same. I surely hope that someone from OBS can read this and do something about it. I really like the mod and the MTL tank. I hope they don't go down the SMOK route.

PS: by the looks of it, they are kinda following smok, at least in products and target market. Search for OBS mini and it looks like they went a little smaller. I won't be surprised if an OBS pod system will come out soon.

I only dropped a mod once since I've been vaping.. didn't break it. But while I don't drop things (*aka can't really relate to the plethora of issues) I DO feel badly for you...

I know what you mean though about seeing the inside of some of these mods though.

Remember that iKarno x-Mini mod I won on the forum?

https://www.heavengifts.com/product/iKarno-X-MINI-Box-MOD.html

That thing stopped working on day 3 for no reason so I broke it open to see what the problem was (loose wire - easy fix), and decided I never wanted to see the inside of another of those internal battery mods.. definitely traumatic.

Although I do have to say, that little freebie was higher quality and better designed than it sounds like yours was!

So sad coming out of that company, that a no name does better..
