#1 reason battery life, I can go through a cig size battery in a half hour.

#2 High voltage or low resistance for hotter hits.

#3 Liquid delivery, you can use a tank or feeder on a mod and have a day or more worth of juice.

#4 The vape is wayyyyyyy better with plumes of great tasting vapor !!!!

I disagree about minis being junk.

If you don't need long battery charge or hotter hits or bigger tanks then it is certainly possible to vape minis. And I mean minis - 9.2mm diameter and about 120mm long, not the weak superminis. The popular minis like 510, 510 mega xl, and KR808D-1 all have nice cartomizers available. You can get them with manual batteries which most people here use and recommend. The 510 has 510-T tank atty and tanks available if someone really wants tanks.

The 510 mega xl and standard KR808D-1 are 280mah batteries, not bad at all for a slim ecig. And the KR808D-1 is a real 3.7v battery.

If somebody wants the hotter harder hits you can get with low resistance parts or needs one battery to last longer than a few hours, then they need a fat battery model or a other mod. if you end up wanting to vape constantly, you may also want a fat battery model since their charge is much longer than a mini's.

If you think a mini will work for you then get one. Works for me. I vape 510 and KR808D-1 90% of the time. I do carry both and I have a full charging setup at work as well as a PCC for the 510. They are nicer with cartomizers. I use Vapor4Life's cartos on my KR8 and Boge 510 standard resistance on the 510. I also drip with a standard res. 306 atty. My batteries are all manual for better hits, safer from damage by juice leaks and won't accidentally turn on from wind or vibration.

Also, why would I want to look like I am smoking when I am not smoking, I've been a second class citizen long enough. No more standing out in miserable weather, no more getting sneers in close places because I smell like an ashtray.

Well they have colored batteries but I think I would need the feel of holding a cig between my fingers to satisfy me.

Whoa..He said something that looks like a cigarette not something slim. You want some that looks like cigarette then checkout the trials they warn you about in the first sticky or the gas station kits with the cart and atty looking like a filter and the battery like the white rolled tobacco portion plus the led on the end can lite up red like a burning ash. Really they dont last and you'll waste money and the worse part is you'll be turned off to e-cigs an continue smoking. You must believe me I do not want that for you.

I don't want my rig to look like a cig anymore, I'm not smoking.
I want a battery that'll last all day, mine will go 2 days if I need it to. They're cheaper too.
I want a stronger hit, small e-cigs aren't as versatile when you want to deviate from the stock parts. If a part will fit into or onto my mod I can use it. If it doesn't fit, I can probably adapt it pretty cheaply.
I vape in the car all the time and I've never been stopped by a cop, or anyone else for that matter. Even if I was I'd just show him my stuff, it isn't illegal afterall.

one of the reasons i won't get into mods is because i know id get hassled by cops. im 20 look like a stoner and on probation don't feel like dealing with cops weather or not they're actually going to do anything. don't really like the minis either just because of battery life so my riva works good for me and actually feels more natural in my hand then my regular kr8 batteries did, the manuals anyway

Basically I think it comes down to battery life and how much juice you can carry in one cart, carto, tank, etc. I personally don't get mods, but I guess it all depends on you and what your willing to put up with. I myself use a KR808-d1 with XL batteries. I can carry two of them with me and it's fine to get me through work. However I usually I carry 4 just to swap around flavors during the day. To me it's very simialr to pulling a cigarette out of a pack. (Yes they are longer and a bit thicker, but my habit was cigarettes). When at home I use a PT so there is no need to drain down my batteries, so I just thow them on the charger when I get home so they are ready to go the next day, or if I go out in the evening. Most Pass Throughs can be run off an iPhone type usb charger, as long as you get the right amperage so you dont even have to be in the same room as a computer. I suppose if I could vape at work, I might have a different opinion, but for me I just don't have the need to have a device I can chain vape on 2 days straight that I need a rolling briefcase to carry.

Please everyone don't get me wrong, and yes, I am new to vaping, but when I first logged into ECF everyone seemed to push these monster cigar and flashlight models, some so hard It almost scared me away. Yes, someday the op, or I might want something "bigger" and "badder". I however would respectfully disagree that anything smaller than cigar is junk. I don't think thats a fair characterization. There are plenty of high quality reputable vendors that sell wonderful products and the fact many are represented on ECF is what is so great about this forum. We are all passionate about the device that works for us, but I think helping folks understand thier options and spend thier money as wisely as possible based on thier situation is what is imporatant.

I hope you found this opinion helpful. Have a great day!
