I have Iclear 30S, Protank 2's with the airflow base on them, and Kanger Aerotanks.

The Iclear 30S hands down give the best flavor and consistant vape without dry hits, I just roll the juice around the metal tube that houses the wics as I vape away. The tanks are a bit tall and with the screw in tops don't give you alot of options there for changing to a custom tip and do not have glass housings but for the $15.00 it's a GREAT tank. To me the draw is a little tight and the vapor production not as dense as the Protank 2 and Aero tank. But for flavor and consistancy with no hassles hands down the Iclear 30S wins. The only thing I have that is better is my Hcigar and Ehpro Kayfun 3.1 clones.

I still use my Iclear 30s tanks, the aero tanks and protank 2's... just keep them with different flavors. But since getting the Kayfuns I'm kinda stuck on using the kayfuns more than anything right now.

So far the Iclears have been a disaster for me. Bought two MVPs and all four of the 16's leaked like a sieve. Just picked up two 30s' in the classifieds, installed new attys, and one of them leaked out atty all over the counter and I've been unable to stop it. The X.1 I like so far. But to my taste buds it comes up dead even in the flavor department vs a Mini II rewicked with cotton. 12 Mini IIs in regular rotation with no leaks. 7 iClears and 5 of them leak, 4 of them like a biblical flood. YMMV.

At least with the 30s you have to be mindful of what you do when installing a coil assembly or you can have problems.

Unscrew the base ring. Unscrew the top cap.

When you install the new coil you need to make sure the keyed coil base is aligned and fully seated in the keyed opening in the bottom cap. If it isn't aligned and is sitting on top of the keyed part of the cap instead... Check it through the plastic tank - if the coil assembly looks at all crooked something is wrong.

Look at the coil assembly top down with the top cap still removed. Is it centered? If yes screw the base ring on, fill, and then screw on the top cap.

Thank you for trying to help. I have already tried those things though. It leaks right out of the hollow atomizer center pin. Which was the exact same problem I ran into with the 16. All with 100% VG no less. Not quite sure what is going on.

i have the aerotank bases too. though one got stuck in the fully closed position so it is now useless. they made the protank 2 better but not amazing. even though i have heard great things about the aspires's i have so many dif tanks already i dont feel like trying anymore lol.

i dont see why beginners would like the 30s any less than a bottom coil tank. it doesnt take any effort or thinking to keep it wicked. i do tilt it around sometimes for good measure but i can pick it up in the morning after its been standing up all night and it hits like a champ. its also much easier to fill than a protank too. one more plus i forgot about. the ease of filling it. unless its in a vtr you dont even have to remove it from the pv. oh and flooding...i dont think i have ever flooded mine. thats def not the case with protanks. not to say i would get constant flooding and gurgling (im looking at you hypertank). but i do get it every now and then.

I can give the 30S some love, thats what got me off analogs.. They are juice suckers and it will chuk the vapor for what it is.. Also, I do have a plastic drip tip that will fit mine.. I got my 30S before I ever tried a protank.. I do like my protank with a nano-micro coil and cotton.. I havent tried the kayfun, that will be my next vapemail. after my vape budget has a chance to recoup..lol I just ordered my first Mech-RDA combo... AND, i vapeing my 30S right now... It Rawks..!

I love the idea, the cooler hit and the technical superiority of the bottom coilers but they do tend to flood IMO.

While I used to look down on top coilers, my iClear 30s is my main tank on my home MVP2 and filled with Black Cherry.

For walking around I now have 5 iClear 16s with different flavours that fit on my vv3.

they do just work and give no problems.

Recently got a Kayfun Lite Plus clone and I do like it but it hasn't yet replaced the iClear 30 as my main tank on the MVP, probably because I'm fairly new to this and haven't worked out how to use it properly :)

I love them! I just bought five more from FastTech and 25 replacement coils. Should last me a good long time. :)

BTW - the rotatable tip is replaceable. Just unscrew it and pop in a drip tip. Not all drip tips fit though. Some are too big and won't fit, some are too small and fall out, but some are just right. It's the reason I passed on the iclear30 and waited for the iclear30s.

Good to know about the tips, I wasn't sure if any would fit.

I loved my iClear 30 for the two days I had it lol. Taste was great, vapor production was good, I actually liked the rotating tip.

I was dumb and didn't read that a juice I had was a tank cracker. So two days into my vaping career, it pretty much fell apart in my hands. As far as I know, they don't sell just the tank portion so I never bothered getting another. Now I have a box full of iClear heads and no iClear lol. I don't understand why Innokin hasn't created a clearo with a pyrex tank yet.

I've never tried the Protank so I can't really compare. But apparently the Protanks can be rebuilt. I donno who would stick to a Protank for rebuilding, but I guess that's a slight edge over the iClear.

This year FINALLY they did; it's called the x.1.

all i ever see for basic tank recommendations are protanks (for the most part anyways). man the iclear 30s completely blows them away. the flavor is 2x as strong, i get zero dry/burnt hits and i have never had any leakage what so ever.

...................

Because they are plastic.

If you're gonna make a tank with replaceable heads, then stop using cheap plastic and make a proper glass tank that we can clean properly.

I love the i Clear30 and 30s for taste and vapor production. Hands down I find it preferable over the various iterations of ProTanks, Evods, AeroTanks, C style tanks, T2s, T3s, etc. What I don't love, just like a lot of other people, is that they are not available in a glass tank - yet.

While bottom coil tanks are excellent, (in my opinion), for juices that do best at cooler temperatures, (such as citrus and tangy fruit juices), the 30 and 30s truly shine when used for bakery flavors, creamy flavors, and tobacco flavors...and basically juices we tend to like vaping a bit "warmer".
