I can see it not being used in mechanical
mods because it's harder to work than aluminum and stainless and it has low thermal and electrical conductivity...
For wired
mods probably due to price and difficulty to machine..
and really only the alloys have the strength of steel pure titanium is pretty soft so it aint so great for
threads...and while it's better in strength/weight ratio it's gotta be twice as big for the same strength..
in other words for two stock bars to be the same strength steel and titanium alloy the Ti one would be twice the size but would still be lighter..
which with the trend of everything going to the smallest form factor around the battery..titanium probably isn't ideal..
I've seen this trend in the medieval thing I do...some armorer was making titanium armor...thinking they could do it the same and be lighter but guys were taking blows and the titanium was bending and they were getting hurt...the armorer had to start making everything twice as thick which really hurt mobility of parts (where fine articulation is needed)
believe me it pains me though because titanium WOULD be awesome for it's anti corrosive properties, and scratch resistance, and all that but it really isn't practical..
