Hello Yankee ,

You must have seen a GG Slim or the GG Super Slim ? This was years ago technology also adjustable center pin connection and extension sleeves/tubes.... I-- myself don't care for bottom fire buttons, but to each there own....

Imeo hads invented many things way befor any body else , and now all the functions have become standard for every mod out there.

The Chi mod seems to be well made and nice but in NO WAY can compare with the SS-GGTS, the GGTS has so many functions and possibilities ! and it's $208.35 with the 10% discount.

And I recall the SS-GGTS was produced ond sold two(2) times last year, and 1 was a advanced order/pre-sale. I got mine August 3rd 2012 last summer. ! Also in about 2 days I'll be the proud owner of a SS-GG Stealth !!!!! that you can make into a GGTS very easy with just a few parts......like 3 parts , a collector tank (complete) , a top tube , a telescope tube ,and there you have a GGTS.

Best Wishes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess all I'm going to say, and then duck from a potential tomato, is I'm with Blu on this one. I'm unsure of the comparison to GG. I do see it similar to another mod. Just confused.

Yeah I too think there was some confusion here about the Chi You. I would absolutely love one, but I would much rather have a GGTS. Right now i'm using a GUS Telescope because I just had to get a real PV again, it's hard going back to eGo's and KGo's once a GGTB becomes the love of your vaping life. BUT, as a lot of you know, I lost most of my vaping gear in a house fire. Imeo has so kindly decided to send me a new GGTB from his workshop. Not putting down Moju, GUS or any other vendors, but I find it unlikely they would see my problems and say "You know what, I think I have all the parts here at my work shop so i'm going to go ahead and send you a new one".

I can't even begin to say what I was feeling when I saw Imeo's post that day, after all the crap that is going on, when I saw that I truly smiled for the first time since I had climbed out of that fire. That right there sealed my love for GG products, and once I have a GGTB and my Penelope up and running again, I plan on trying to trade the GUS tele for a GG Stealth, maybe with a telescope if I can find one and add a bit of cash. :D Long live Golden Greek!

Thanks for clarifying the slim. I love the TS. I have a couple. Heck maybe ill have a third some day. It is extremely versatile and ill take that any day. I have removed parts to put it in "stealth" mode for an event or something using the 350 batt. And I've extended it fully with a 650 batt and kick. So believe me I'm not a hard sell. :)

On a side note, I think we can all agree that most mechanical mods all operate on the preface of a metal button being pushed, pushing some conductive metal pin, and that pin making contact with some metal post to the positive terminal and completing the circle of "life" to the mod body. That's easy. I was a bit confused because I have seen TRUE clones to the GGTS, Ody, etc where they follow the same concept as Imeo designed but they even are made to LOOK very similar to Imeo's design. To me, those were what I always referred to as "clones". Inferior material copied to function AND look the same as the original but clearly a once of junk to put it blatantly.

Personally, there are high quality mechanical mods out there that I would not consider clones based solely on how power is transferred to the atomizer. They look different. They are built different. And the there may only be one thing in common. I won't list all names here. I know the chi you and caravela are out there. And one could say they are both clones, and one could say that neither is. Because I truly am just sharing MY personal take on this subject. But I can say look at the genesis. Neither is the same as the other, but they have more in common with each other than these other mechanical mods have in common with the GG mod. Are all VVs the same as the others? Or did the new maker take one idea and believe they were improving look and function?

I won't buy clones. I refuse. And so does my wife. I know that it has cost us much money to take Imeos true creations into my hand. And when you factor two of us using Imeos true creations, that's double the cost. But I fully believe we get the best from authentic pieces.

Everyone has their opinion. A clone to one may not be to another. The atom is a clone. But in my opinion, some of the others are not just because of a button or firing method. And I know there are many that share my feelings based on the numbers that buy the "authentic" varying mods out there. I have seen this.

We vape authentic. We vape healthy. We love Imeo and GG. That's what matters. What others add for quality variety shouldn't.

I don't own a GG but like the design. If I was spending $150 or more for a similar design, it would seem silly to me to not just get a real GG, and the vendor and community that comes with it. Most of the expensive imitations will have little support and parts availability in the long term, so one might as well use a cheap throwaway imitation while waiting or saving up for the real thing. I expect the GG community will remain active and thriving long after these derived products come and go.

That's what seems so crazy to me. There are some good mechanical mods out there that are at least somewhat worth their price, but when I see something like the EA Mod for 149 Euros, that's just crazy. It's blatantly a clone and clearly inferior to the real thing. Why would anyone buy that? I can understand the frustration with the availability of GG's, but I would happily stalk the classifieds before wasting my money. I feel similarly about the Ody clone, I think it was like $70, it is cheaper but it's still not cheap, wouldn't someone rather save up the little extra money for the real thing? Not to even mention feeling guilty for supporting pirates, which is never right, but plain stupid when they're ripping you off with an inferior product that they should only be charging $20 on.

All that said, no I don't think the Chi You is particularly a clone, it may be in a slight gray area, but personally I'm much happier with my GGTS. When you factor in all the features of a GG and its quality, every mechanical mod seems overpriced.

You do have to keep in mind that not only do a lot of people not have a lot of money to spend on vaping, but a lot of people don't see the point. Not everybody is at hobby level. If somebody goes out and spends $25 on a Chi Chi or whatever and they're happy with it i'm not going to call them down for it. To them they just don't want to smoke. Same if somebody buys a Vamo instead of a Provari or Darwin. Maybe they just don't want to spend $200-300+ on something they can get for $40...

I actually have been on this sub for quite a few days now and to be honest, the GGTS is looking like a very nice device to add to the collection. Problem is finding one NEW as I have looked everywhere. Just hope IMEO does a preorder on them sometime this year. I have been reading through all off the stickys and IMEO seems very helpful. Never ran into a sub on ECF yet where the supplier actually ask the people "well, what do you think" and this to me is a definite A+ IMO, Thanks for this IMEO

I totally agree. First two things that attracted me to GG was the device itself and Imeos support. I've never seen another supplier be so passionate and helpful. These days its really nice to see someone stand by their products 100%

Well the plan to get a stealth didn't work. The cloudsofvapor website allowed me to fill a basket with $400 to pay. Got through all the stages to pay and then get error messages galore. Then I notice credit card allowed but not visa debit, so is the reason for the errors. No idea. Now the website is down. Not sure whether I've bought 10 x $400 worth or nothing. :(

Useless is the word. And here's me sitting up in the middle of the night for nothing. And work in 3 hours time. AAAARRRRGGGGGGG
