Why so impossible to get the GGTS

I agree. Preorders are the way to go. Definitely try to make plans to watch the GG family threads and get on the preorders of items you want so you can get one or two. Those are guaranteed.

Of course, don't get TOO carries away.

Well the plan to get a stealth didn't work. The cloudsofvapor website allowed me to fill a basket with $400 to pay. Got through all the stages to pay and then get error messages galore. Then I notice credit card allowed but not visa debit, so is the reason for the errors. No idea. Now the website is down. Not sure whether I've bought 10 x $400 worth or nothing.

Useless is the word. And here's me sitting up in the middle of the night for nothing. And work in 3 hours time. AAAARRRRGGGGGGG

Same thing happened to me, the whole process and nada. Im so sorry you didnt get your stealth. Maybe on the next pre-order

I can't believe I missed out on getting a Stealth. The ironic thing is, I've been on ECF all night... just didn't bother to check my email which had the notification that they were selling. Kicking my own .... is not harsh enough of a punishment for missing out on this opportunity.

LOL same thing happened to me. I was on the forum the whole day trying to post as much as i can in the newbie forum to bump my status and didnt bother checking my email.

Definitely keep your eyes on the GG forums for future preorders of products. This maddening process of rushing to the site was a regular thing before. Then Imeo started preorders. Yes you have to prepay, but knowing what you prepay will be in your hands even though you're out the money can cut website ordering stress way down. You actually don't even care about the notification on many products.

Good luck on your searches. They can still be had for decent prices in the forum. Just have to be patient.

I managed to luck out! BIG time! I was aware of the Stealths coming up on Bruce's site, but was wary based on several other such sales where I was up all night and lucked out (another vendor). In the interim, I had been negotiating a deal for a GGTS + UFS V2. I was torn between closing the deal on the GGTS + UFS V2 or trying to get the Stealth. I decided I better get the GGTS + UFS V2 while the getting was good! And then I managed to get a Stealth as well. Not sure what I will do, if I really need to GGTS now that I snagged the Stealth.

Somopoppy, I am so sorry you weren't able to get one. My offer via PM stands for any future purchase should you run into such a situation again.

Yeah I attempted to get a Stealth as well.. couldn't get through the checkout page. I have a GGTS + Stealth Cap coming, though.. so I'm not too upset about it.. but it woulda been nice to have a brand new Stealth, then I could use it with the Ithaka when it comes out. Ah well... My wallet thanks me at least

I failed miserably. Had taken a day off work and sat at the computer all evening until 01:00hrs here in UK. at checkout first time at 01:00 then again 20 more times up until 03:00hrs. Then I started getting out of stock messages. Each page I went to was taking 5 minutes to download. During this period the site would often just crash, or message with 'site memory issue" or "site under maintenance". Whenever I got to final stage of checkout to pay I got an "error in processing" message. I checked my details a hundred times but all correct. Gave up at 03:00 as I had to get some sleep before rising for work at 05:30hrs. I must of got 1hr sleep. As you can imagine, exhausted all day.
If I had some real ciggies in the house last night, guess what I would have been doing.

Did anybody happen to see if they had Penelope ceramics and o-rings up? If so and I missed it that really sucks...

Edit: Ok this really sucks. I put in a ticket almost a week ago asking about the ceramics and o-rings. They never answered my ticket until last night when I was at work they sent me an email and the sale went up. I missed them and now I am stuck with a useless Penelope until god only knows... For not the first time, I find Clouds of Vapor to be very lacking in customer support. They could have let me know any time over the last week but didn't even bother responding to my ticket. Great.

I actually have been on this sub for quite a few days now and to be honest, the GGTS is looking like a very nice device to add to the collection. Problem is finding one NEW as I have looked everywhere. Just hope IMEO does a preorder on them sometime this year. I have been reading through all off the stickys and IMEO seems very helpful. Never ran into a sub on ECF yet where the supplier actually ask the people "well, what do you think" and this to me is a definite A+ IMO, Thanks for this IMEO
