When I was smoking cigarettes, I smoked a certain one every time. If the store was out of it, I would drive to the next one to get this certain one. With the PV, I have 3 main flavors I always have and 10-20 samplers at all times in the house. We aren't even going to get into hardware either. I usually take 1 of the main 3 with me every day and 1 of the sampler for use during work hours. Then every night when I get home I have multiple tanks all lined up to keep different flavors in rotation. I know I can't be the only one doing something similar, so onto the question. Why I am not using just 1 main flavor like when using the cigarettes? I never had multiple packs lined up at home of different varieties of cigarettes to cycle through weekly.

My smoker friends all laugh at me for this when they see the Shrine of vaping by the front door. Of course their laugh turns into a cough like an 80 year old woman with emphysema. You know what they say "He who is able to laugh without coughing up a lung, laughs last." Or something like that.

I don't know, but I think it's pretty wonderful that we can.

I do have a couple of IRL vaping friends who vape the same flavor day in and day out and have for going on 3 years. Not for me - I like to switch it up several times a day. And, I'm extremely happy that I have finally found many flavors that I look forward to tasting every day. It hasn't been easy since I'm a 100% VG vaper.

Many more options are available to us now. I consider most brands of cigs to be different qualities and variations of a few flavors. Vaping's options make it almost more like eating or drinking. If there was only one food available that could satisfy our hunger then that is what we would eat. With so many choices, we don't have to merely stop a craving...we can add levels of enjoyment to the act. Nobody says food X is MY food or drink Y is MY only drink. You can change them to suit your mood. So why should vaping be any different?

So to put it in much less eloquent terms. With cigarettes, you basically had many different choices that were a variation of a**. You just needed the fix and put up with a** flavor. With vaping, you have flavors that will mimic your favorite things so why settle for one.

Sorry if I offended anyone who likes a** flavor with that explanation.

Most cigs tasted the same to me when I was smoking so I always looked for the cheapest fix. Menthol was never on the list and I still can't take much with ejuice. now I taste things with more flavor than in my smoke days and I find I like the subtle juicy flavors, creamy rum and caramel, or even a vanilla hazzelnut.

Ya know, a month ago I woulda said that's a buncha 'bunk'

Today, after a few weeks with 0 cigarettes and 1 attempted relapse (that ended really quickly), I agree that most of us just picked a flavor we could live with every day.

I smoked menthol for 8 years, and now, even in juice, i cant stand it. I think in real cigarettes I used it just to cover up the taste.

Because at a certain point vaping became not just a cigarette replacement for me but a whole experience in its own right. Having got my sense of taste back it has been really enjoyable trying different flavors.
Vaping is something I prefer far more than smoking, and I don't even think of it as a comparison to when I smoked anymore. It is what it is, and I like to make the most of it.

Not that it matters now, but I sure wish I could have made a "dumb mistake" by sneaking a vape from my parents instead of analogs. I'd be a lot healthier today for it.

For me, when I smoked, I tried to find the least offensive tasting cigarette. With vaping, OMG I actually have flavors to choose from?!?!?! This one tastes great, OMG this one tastes amazing, OMG I LOVE this one! And on, and on, and on it goes. Ain't it grand?!?!?

I actually like the taste of what I'm vaping instead of living with how nasty cigarettes really are.

just my experience... ;)

Right? I have found my main "goto" flavor which also happens to be a decent "base taste" which lends itself well for mixing with other flavors. I use one drop of peppermint per ml of fluid. Adding black cherry gives it a wonderful taste like the lipbalm bearing the same name. Adding a drop of chocolate gives a taste much like Peppermint Patty to me. I'll probably go broke buying flavoring:)

With so many available flavors in fluid, I'm still looking for what really "does it for me." I do have my current favorites, but I know I've only touched upon a fraction of what's out there. I try a little here and there because I simply don't know what I could be missing. I did the same thing with cigars and pipe tobacco until I found what I thought was my "ultimate" favorite. I may just be doing the same thing now, only it's taking a much longer time because of all the variances.

I hear that! Before I discovered vaping (was chewing nicogum)when I'd see someone with a cigarette (TV, outside) I'd think "Man, those were the days....".. Now when that happens I think "Poor slob.. he/she stinks and can't even taste the food anymore..."

IMO I would buy different brand cigs becaus I didn't want to waste $5-$6 and be stuck with a discussing pack that would just sit there and taste even wost as tyme went by.

BUT
you can spend $5-$6 and buy about 3-10ml that last you longer than the pack of 20s or 16
If you don't like the flavor or even hate it, don't trow it away. Let it steep like good wine lol and maybe you won't hate it so much after a couple of days/weeks.

Also maybe the fact that I never saw cigarette reviews nowhere to get an idea of what this one tasted like, or the other one.

Would you rather choose if the lethal injection in prision has menthol or not... or choose the jello flavor in the hospital?

IDK if that last part made sense but it sounded funny when I though it.

I agree with all of the above. Also I think that (and I speak for myself only) that up to a degree any addiction be it nicotine or alcohol triggers certain Obsessive Compulsive Disorder symptoms that I am able to fuel with my switching flavors.
That being said.....I can't remember the last time when I smoked analogs that I actually enjoyed and looked forward to my next cig.
when I vape I take my drags and simply love it. After a while I take another flavor and do the same.
It's kinda like eating chinese food.
