Why the need for multiple PVs?

I've noticed that many of you have multiple PVs and I mean about 3 or 4 and sometimes even more. I've only been vaping for about a month and I've been using the same PV (Tornado/eGo) and I don't feel as if I need another one.

Are some of you building a collection? Or maybe you don't like vaping from the same PV all the time? Maybe some PVs are better for dripping?

I'm just curious. Who knows, maybe in a few months, I'll be starting my own collection. :p

Probably a lot of reasons... some of them being: didn't like the pv they originally bought, wanted to try others, hobbyist ;), etc.

I researched this to death and ordered a Joye eGo as my first pv, which I'm really happy with so I don't think I'll really want another. Unless they come up with a thinner one that's got a great battery life ;)

For most I think it's just trying to find that perfect PV. With the money I am "saving" by not smoking I could buy a mod every two weeks and still keep myself in juice, carts etc.

For myself I find that I like different PV's for different activities. I use my Nicostick-style mod most of the time, I originally made it to use when working in my woodworking shop so I wouldn't damage any of my "real" PV's, but found that I like the hit of a actual 3.7 volts! I keep a 510 Passthru on my desk at work and only vape coffee flavors through it in the mornings. Coffee is hard to get out of an atty, so I just use that one for coffee all the time. Since I always drip with my Nicostick, I use an Ego with a carto when driving, I drive very little. Sometimes in the morning I will fill an atty and cart in my Ego with waffles flavor and vape it alongside my passthru so I have waffles and coffee!

When I'm going to be out all day I usually throw 2 charged 510 batteries in a little case and put them in the car just in case something happens to my nicostick!

For me, it's kind of impulse buying. Or, sometimes, it just feels like a hobby. I started with a KR8 kit. Then I kept hearing about how great the 510s were--had to get one. Then, I wanted a bigger battery, so I bought the mega 510. Kept on hearing about how great the eGo was and had to try that. (The eGo was where I found my sweet spot!). Then, Liberty-Flights had their Rivas on sale for $29.99. I couldn't pass up a price like that, so, I bought one just to have around as a spare since equipment doesn't last forever.

I think if I buy any more, everyone can just accuse me of stockpiling:)

I have a KR8 and a Tornado... mostly because I started out with the KR8, I have 5 batteries for that model, but still got tired of switching out batteries throughout the day, but I've been using it to test flavors I've been creating through DIY, before putting them on my Tornado... I have the Tornado because of mega carts/mega atomizers so I don't have to refill but once a day.. doubt I'll ever get anything else until my KR8 batts completely die or maybe a mod someday.

Though I know I'll replace my Tornado with another one, or Ego once the batteries on that are totally dead.

Being one that finally was able to quit analougs with e-vaping I know I need 2 at all times my Tekk (sent for repair)and my back-up 5v box.I happen luckily to not have sold my DSE-905 so it is in play since my Tekk is in the repair shop.I hope at some point to be able to, no that is a lie ,I will prob never give up vaping and never want to go back to the cigs.

Multiple devices are sort of a security blanket for me - if one dies on me, I have back-ups. I started out with the pen-style with automatic batteries, and still have several because they're really convenient; you can stick one or two in your back pocket and not worry about them accidentally getting turned on, and the relatively large depots don't have to be constantly topped off. If you lose one, you're not out a bundle. Then I picked up a couple of Screwdrivers (pen and 510 fittings) on sale because they were "greener" than standard e-cig batteries and I like the feel of them and the buttons on the bottom. They're still my "go-to" PVs. A clearance sale this summer prompted me to buy two e-Sticks with 510 adapters for stealth vaping and the PT function. Janty France recently had an Ego sale, and I just "had" to try the XL Ego atomizers and batteries, which I love because of the cart capacity and the long life of the batteries.

A lot of my collecting can be put down to not being able to resist a bargain and pure laziness, since it's nice to have a PV set or two at work, one in the car, one each for the kitchen, living room, bedroom, etc..

Yea I enjoy having different PVs to use such as different voltages and certain flavors are better on others. I first got a DSE901 then went to a Joye 510, since everyone seems to like it, then I went to small mods and now am trying and getting all the big boy high volt mods. I guess I also have a shopping habit :p

Regards.

Somewhere in time.
Personally-I have three. They all taste different (to me) and are useful in different situations........the Kr8 I vape when I'm dyin for an analog-but too harsh for me most of the time. The 4081 I use when for any reason I need an automatic-or to blend in with a crowd......and my SideSho. I love it's taste, and appearance-I use this about 80% of the time. I may one day pick up something else, but for now, these cover every situation for me.

I do, however, have a friend that just likes to collect kits......

edited cause my typing just sux.

Having multiple PVs reduces the load, and chance of failure, on any one. In addition to the "backup" capability stated earlier, just imagine only having one and it dies, OMG, multiple PV just makes things easier, less stress.
I use big battery mods and one 18650 would last me most of the day, but I still use more than one. Why try and kill your PV?
I'll also point out that you can reduce mechanical wear and tear on the screw together connection by using a mod with a removable battery. You don't have to take the atty or carto off and swap batteries every hour or so.

I have a couple of KR808d's, a 901 mini, a couple of Elegents, 2 PT's but my main vap is a SDMKll I keep a 1/2 dozen or more LR atty's ready for use with it and 3, 18350 batteries . My next and last PV will be a bottom feeder, but I am giving a lot of thought to the VapeMate Electronic Cigarette Juice Feeder also

Well, I've really only got 5 kinds, only 3 iffun you don't count the Blu, & Volcano Sidesho thingy. Nobody counts the Blu. . .right? Cept it showed me the possibilities. Then I kept a readin all the crapo bout the guvment bannin &/or a taxin heck outta my life's blood. So, decided I'd better get more protection than havin a bunch of eCig batts layin around the place. Now comes the mods. Take that guvment! Now I've got PV's that use batts other than PV batts. And nuff C-E2 XL 510 carto's to last the rest of my life. Atomizer. . .smatomizer. . .if guvment locked everything down today I could vape the rest of my life. Hobby my .... . .It's paranoia gone amuck.
Cheers,
otrpu
