I see some people with like 10-20 ecigs and i just wonder why would you need so many of them?

My collection is like a scrapbook of my journey into vaping. I started with a 510 atty and carts on a 510-t batt. After a couple weeks of "wetting the sponge" it was time to move up to Ego batts and clear's. Problem was, I had a T3 on a 1000Mah Ego, It's an ok vape but i'm not blowing those clouds of vape I see on youtube reviews even with super long pulls. So on to the next step, MODS. I go with the Vamo v2 and a Protank. Life is good. Now I'm pulling top wicks out my heads, soon i'll be making coils and rebuilding tanks.There seems to be a natural progression, based on level of comfort, that causes you to have this collection that ends up looking like some kind of obsession.

Vamo my step up and main at home vape
gripper because it fits a spot in my car that makes it simple to use and drive without taking my eyes off the road

They are like french fries, you can't have just one! My hubby asked me this question last night! "Why do people need so many?" It's a hobby, and it's a community. For me it's not a "smoking cessation device". It keeps me from wanting a cigarette, but it's so much more! And my Vamo will stay home (don't want to lose it) and be my chain vaping device. My eGo works fine for me while I am at work. My collection of clearos and tanks and juice, are just FUN. I want a pink skin and a pink Cirrus tank for my Vamo. That's strictly aesthetics!

A friend of mine pointed out that he saw my vaping as more akin to pipe smoking than cigarette smoking. Many pipe smokers have different pipes for different moods, and lots of little fiddly tools and maintenance stuff. The main reason is the vape, but I think it's fun to tinker and try different devices. If you think 10 different mods are excessive, you should see my growing collection of DIY flavorings... LOL!

Far be it from me to show restraint when pointing out the obvious: We are Addicts. Often times, as much as we would like to, we can't blame physical addiction. Our addictive behaviors are probably more heavily linked to psychology rather than physiology. Addicted to nicotine, caffeine, pie, television...whatever the addiction, even buying vape gear, a fix is a fix. That is just my

you start out with one. Then realize you need a backup. Then it would be nice to have a backup for your back up and you end up with 4 that are all about the same... well. If you have more than 3 of something, then you have a collection. Some people collect stamps some collect tea pots. Most collectors tend to be very nice people because they like to show off their collections...
I have 6 pipes and 4 VV ego batteries (2 each Twist and Spinner). If you look at my photos here on ECF, they comprise about 3 of my pipes in different configurations. Lots of customization can be done.
and there you are.... you just HAVE to get that one because it looks so cool... and that one, and that one....
you get the idea, I hope.
