You might try running your wattage up and down. Sometimes, a flavor has a sweet spot in heat applied to the juice. Lowering wattage will certainly result in less juice being vaporized and lower flavor production if it's too strong. Lower vaporization yields lower flavor. It's worth a try.

If that doesn't fix it, try some more brands and vendors. It's worth checking out reviews on those before buying.

If commercial green apple pairs well with grape and can tone it down.

Well, that's unfortunate. You should up your vape game and get a variable wattage mod. Quite often an unsatisfactory flavor can be greatly improved by increasing or decreasing the wattage setting. Each flavor may have its own "sweet spot" wattage setting. With your current setup, you probably can't achieve that.

You are currently vaping "cave man style" ... the equivalent of cooking on a campfire --> one fixed temperature setting. With a regulated variable wattage setup you'll be vaping the equivalent of cooking on a gas stove.

Variable wattage can be a gamechanger. Good Starter Setups for a Beginner Vaper

There are a few things you can do to tone it down.

1. Mix in some unflavoured VG/PG. You can get the same nic strength as your grape e-liquid so all you're doing is diluting the flavour.

2. Mix in some green apple as @Letitia mentioned. Green apple seems to tone down everything including...

3. Menthol. Menthol has an analgesic effect, which means it can help to reduce your sensitivity to unpleasant sensations. This is more applicable to harsh nic hit but I imagine it would help with strong flavours too. Try mixing in a *tiny* amount. After a few puffs, the menthol effect should smooth everything out. Be aware though, that menthol introduces another kind of throat/nose hit that some folks hate (I like it).

Good luck quitting. Don't give up.
