BTW, I did ask for permission from the OP. I do not want anyone to think I am either trying to take credit for something or take away from anyones thread. This is a all inclusive thread, and thought it would be nice to add that method as that is the main point of this thread. One easy place to find all sorts of helpful info.

I did read where you mentioned that in your earlier post. I was just confused as to what "double post...same info from Kiralina" was supposed to mean. Sorry for the confusion (maybe it's just me that's confused...I admit that is not all that unlikely).

Thanks!

I often feel the same way my friend! :)

Hey, all... Can someone tell me if it is unsafe to use an AW 18650 (not IMR) with a rebuildable atomizer? I know depending on how many wraps you do, the resistance can be a bit below 1.5 ohms... Is that stressing the battery too much? I use mechanical mods... I'm thinking its okay since you can use dual coil cartos but prefer an expert opinion.... Dont want a battery failure.
I do have IMR's, but really prefer the regular ones as I feel I get higher voltage for longer with them. Thanks!

here is a very nice trick i got from german forums. all you need are tiny glass pearls (aka rocailles) and put them over the ends of coil (between coil and batt-contacts) to avoid the "free routes" and keep the wick away from the contacts...

i use it on my Genisis LV, my DID and my Beast.... sorry for incomplete english, maybe the pic says more:

used as insulators/spacer to avoid movement of ss wick/coil to terminals ? :>)

exactly. with the pearls you can tighten the canthal without pulling the wick to close to the contact.

and - especially for the Genisis LV (from electra pipes) - where you always have these free routes of canthal between the wick/coil and the terminals. these free routes tend to glow, what they should not (except for dryburn): the pearls enclose these free routes and keep' em wet with liquid so there is no glowing. (glowing is responsable for bad burnt taste)...

Sounds cool. Where do you get them?

Voltage higher for longer has NO need here. You NEED IMR's. PCB protected batteries (what your using) have very low and little discharge rates (Amperage output). IMR type cells which are safer as a safe chemistry lithium battery has less internal resistance as a high drain cell which gives them a much higher discharge rate or Amperage output. And NOT no name knock off IMR's.... Good stuff like AW, E'fest, or Panasonic's IMR's. You would rather have a 500maH battery that has a 10 amp sustained output than a 10,000maH battery with a 2 amp sustained output. Spend the coin and get some IMR's. The ONLY time I ever use a PCB protected battery is when I'm using a very basic mechanical mod which is hardly ever.

On a side note I received the "DID" RA 2 weeks ago and I have to say this is a extremely nice RA and very easy to get setup and running. Had a bit of trouble at 1st but now......FLAWLESS.
