May as well add another link. :) I have not detected any treatment to the natural colored one, but I can't be sure.

Aunt Lydia's Bamboo

They have a store locator on the site, though it doesn't seem to be very good in my case.

I'll add that I got mine at a Michael's craft store, though they say Jo-Ann and Wal-Mart sell it, too.

that's the one that i got. seems to work good, but then i googled "viscose", a little scary after that.......later,,,,vince

"Viscose" is just a way of processing the bamboo to form the thread or yarn. Just like the various stages in producing cotton thread/yarn, various chemicals are used. This doesn't mean that any of the chemicals used in the processing are in or on the finished product.

every cotton build I've done in the past few weeks has been crap. dry hit, flooded hit. dry hit, flooded hit. I'm ......! I swear I used to be good at this, lost all my chops.

If I didn't have my DID with me and some snus I really think I'd have bought a pack of nails lol

Lol, don't feel bad. I've had those spells too. Actually threw my Scubagen in the trash once. Dug it out the next day, but still. I still have boxes of Boge cartos for backups, I stocked up just before I got into rebuildables, and now they just languish in an old cigar box. I keep thinking I should put 'em on the classifieds, but they're like a security blanket.

Actually, I looked it up. From what I can tell, viscose is the same thing as rayon. Rayon usually uses wood chips to extract cellulose and the cellulose is made into the fiber. In the case of that Aunt Lydia's the cellulose is extracted from bamboo. So, you might consider it so processed that it's not bamboo at all. After all we consider the nicotine in juice to be so processed as to not be tobacco. Regardless, I actually have some of that Aunt Lydia's stuff. I bought it before I looked up viscose. It burns to ash just like all the other things we've been using and it makes the best wick I've tried so far.

I haven't tried the bamboo yet. I started with the rolled cotton (batten). Played with cheesecloth once. Gave 2/0 candle wick a couple of shots.

I have a SS mesh wick in one ST rebuildable and a rolled cotton wick in the other. Of the ones I've tried so far the rolled cotton is my favorite. You can make the wick as big as you want it. If you want or need to change the wick, but your coil is still fine, it's easy to thread a rolled cotton wick through the coil and have it come out working great.

I don't have an 'Ody' or a 'Penny' or a G-TUS or any 'high end' rebuildables.

I guess I'm just a cheap a?? :D. Give me a Chinese knock-off or three and a box of rolled cotton and I'm good to go.

:p :D

Cyrus, To get something working right away try a CE-? Get rid of everything except the cup. Use any kind of cotton wick with any kind of cotton wick over. start with low volts, always leave it laying on it's side to soak up the joose, flooding is good. just vape through it.
Come on man you can do it.:>)

I'm up with you. I couldn't get cotton batt consistent. Cotton yarn was pretty good. Cheese cloth was a little better but a lot more trouble. 1/0 candlewick didn't wick fast enough for me. The Aunt Lydia's is the best I've tried. I ordered some 100% bamboo yarn . That stuff's not cheap. I probably should have asked supervap for a freebie. I just got a new genesis in last night that I'm running on SS. No telling when I'll get around to trying it.
