Quigsworth 9l per min air puimp set to low( whatever that is). The Why? It turns the A7 dripper into a ceramic Steel tank!

EDIT: And if you replace that center tube with the right size medical hypodermic tubing you can even be rid of plated mystery metalz
I ordered some 999 silver tubing today & it may make a nice fit. If not, I also ordered some nice tiny silicone tubing that may fix any gap leaks if it does not fit. It's soft silver, so I can likely stretch it bigger or roll it smaller to make it fit.[Execllent suggestion;)] I do not need 999 silver too much for health reasons. I used many brass pipes(& a few copper)to smoke out of as a kid. & not just the stuff we do not talk about here!, I can honestly say I have smoked lichen & moss off of rocks in a brass pipe (I was a stange one). Surgical steel hypo tubing is welded.(seamless is just how it seems:blink:). Is anything in the weld rods? I choose 999.). I am partly buying 999 silver to set a good/"healthiest I know how" example for younger vapers to some degree. In the A7 vid the deluxe apparatus is the far back sideways shot & the other stuff is just an airhose pointed @ the airhole.

I can now honestly say I enjoyed some roadrash:blink: [inspired mod!;)]

The air assisted vaping is the only way I vape now. I put a small hole in all my homemade shorty adapters. I had mentioned about using a small air compressor for when my lung capacity is totally gone.
Be sure to check out my youtube channel for the making of the apparatus video for how I made a room filler,[reality check note: if a wick could keep going long enough lol.] My deluxe apparatus really does bloom a nice bouquet of scented nic & every time I test an atomizer I usually take a few warm up face full vapes. It is a very enjoyable vape [up close in your face].

MikeE3 hopefully my skills will improve. Video is new to m

damthisisfun HOTRODs need dressing thus my other true reason 999 silver order. I miss my old Pontiacs!

Hopefully soon I can film my DIY Vivi Nova silicone grommet vid, I just discovered! I apologize as always for my hard to read writing style. I did not go to skool on syntax day nor many others.

About throathit. Organical wick gives very soft th or even no th. Silica & other hardcore wicks give strong th. Why so? I suspect, that strong th is fake th produced by acroleine, not nicotine. Where from you get th on zero nic liquid?

i am very concerned about my TH. its the aspect of vaping that i enjoy most. reading your post is troubling to me. is it possible to get great TH without getting much acrolein?

Running an bf ERA on a Grand, 1.5 ohm 30 awg BJ oval coil, 20 strands of Lydia's vaping a diy 70 PG/30VG juice at 10mg strength...I bore the air hole out a bit from stock to take some of the TH out...full respect to Evil but I've never had an issue with soft to no TH...

how about hemp? I dont know how it would hold up under the heat, but to me it seems that industrial hemp would be a decent wicking organic fiber. I may have to do some testing, unless someone has a good reason not to...

Michaels sells 100% hemp cord in the beading department if you want to give it a try. They have a card with 4 thicknesses from 10 to 40lbs on it. I mixed the 20lb with some 100% cotton embroidery thread after a good boil in my first coil and no nasty taste and it seems to be working fine. Unfortunately I don't have enough experience to compare it.

this is very relieving to hear. i get amazing TH from my SS, when i can it to work :/
because of my troubles, i thought i'd try cotton to eliminate the chances of the wick shorting out my coil (if thats even my problem). it seems as if the biggest problem with rebuilding is not knowing what the problem is! i need a hands-on RBA seminar & workshop course. anyone know where theyre hosting those? lol

I've tried bamboo on multiple occasions and I just can't get over the "wood" taste. Boiled it 5 times to no avail. Been thinking about hemp thread; I've seen hemp candle-wick which might better suit our needs. Online only, so far.

I've found the taste of Bamboo goes after not too much vaping.

The hemp candle wick I have is a cotton sheath over somewhat stiff hemp. The hemp is there to give the wick some body. I like the cotton sheath with the hemp removed for vaping. I don't doubt there are other types of hemp wicks.

Just goes to show how taste is totally subjective...I prefer fruit flavours...some have an almost "too bright" inhale like this passion fruit I like...I've paired it specifically with a device running Lydia's, the earthyness of the bamboo takes the edge off the inhale, adds warmth to the exhale...has just made the overall flavour great...Lorann's blackberry on bamboo is also great, almost too acidic on anything else...

However, the TPA juicy peach flavour doesn't seem to work with the bamboo at all, it works awesome in a genny but that's about it...where as my TPA Pomegranate works best on silica  (it's my one guilty pleasure)

...just saying...don't write off the bamboo cause it tastes off on one juice...I don't think there is one cookie-cutter solution for everyone/everything :)

I almost mentioned your type of hemp sheathed in cotton Cool Breeze :)
I hear ya Quiqsworth: I've only tried it with my goto peppermint/menthol mix. I recognize it's superior wicking, but it makes me ill everytime I try it. So far the #1/0 cotton braid is my main goto. It holds up well. Once I get over this cold I'll be out looking for some hemp wick to test. :)

there you go, I can't imagine a peppermint and a bamboo working good together at all, cool/clean and earthy?...a buddy vapes these desert flavs...bavarian creams, caramels and such...not my cup of tea but they rock on bamboo, marriage made in heaven, just depends I think...

I've been using both Aunt Lydia's and cheesecloth in all my RBAs, and while I have to give a slight edge to Aunt Lydia's for wicking, the cheesecloth takes the (cheese)cake for flavor transparency ... with one exception—in my Vision Eternitys, the Aunt Lydia's seems to give me a better taste (wicking isn't really a big issue with the Eternitys, either in drip or tank mode). My Vivi Novas and my Penelopes all give noticeably better flavor with the cheesecloth ... don't know why the Eternitys are different, but there you go!
In the full-size Vivi Novas (3.5 ml), I'm getting good results with the normal 40-thread CC wick (I've been using about 8 threads of the Aunt Lydia's), but in the 2 ml VN Mini, I've been backing the CC thread count down to around 35 ...

That's odd.. Now I'm beginning to wonder if someone "had their way" with my Auntie?(snicker) I've tried it in the Vision tank, mini,Stardust, and my current favorite the Hyper SRT II, but to no avail.. I've got a mean cold going on, so i'll have to wait before I make anymore attempts with Aunt Lydia.
Thanks for the suggestions and input; greatly appreciated!

Iv'e been a cotton fanboi since we first started this buuuuuuut lately Ive been using Anty Lydias bamboo more and more. it seems like the better I get my setup the better the bamboo is. Especially with unflavored joose It has a taste all its own. I'm not even boiling it any more.
Now bamboo is #1, and Cotton #2. win, win. :>)

So many tasty fiber choices & each in many varieties. A good thing :) I do like that my hemp always has a flavor & I enjoy its woody earthiness which imparts nice light & faint musky after a rain tones to unflavored nic nectar nicely for m

Similar experience here. My ADV is a simple DIY peppermint. I've tried it a couple of times with bamboo and it always tastes strange and smells like pee. I've settled on batton as my wick of choice. When I saw this I tried the bamboo on some choco-peanut butter juice and sure enough its tasting pretty good. Still don't know if its worth dealing with two different wicking materials since the batton seems very neutral in flavor and is working just fine for me.

Has anybody found any braided bamboo or bamboo rope? I don't like messing with a lot of strings.

Terry, when the slow boat from China gets my order here, you'll have some of this 'braided' bamboo coming your way.

At the top of the pic is the bamboo I'm waiting on, the bottom is Aunt Lydia's #10.
