So you used your "phone a friend" option...
It was either that or "Ask the audience" and well,, we don't know.
So you used your "phone a friend" option...
Nope...here's a hint, these things where everywhere, then on Christmas Day, in 1969 it all changed...
Boo wah!, notscared nailed it
to save you the google...Dec 25, 1969 Seiko released the quartz movement watch to the public...my other love, watches, I've got dozens of them![]()
When you mentioned 1969, my first thought was a Pet Rock, but didn't seem likely....![]()

...now that's funny!
Thanks everyone on this forum - I read all the way through 140 and I appreciate everyone's advice and purchased it all. I tried it all and what i think works for me is the 100% organic cheese cloth, the ss mesh, and the xc-116 sleeving (ceramic wick). This is what seems to work for me. I will switch back and forth between the cheese cloth and the ceramic wick. Thanks again!. Here is a pic:

I was so close to throwing my Ody up on the classy's to trade...this thread seriously made me say "holy crap, soooo close..." and I would have regretted big time...Ody's on cotton,, pfft, so good, if there was ever a zombie apocalypse RBA???, next to the Line, this is it....enjoy
You prefer the Line to Ody? I spent 3 weeks getting good w my line v2 and I'm getting twice the flavor and vapor out of my Ody than I ever could out of the line.
My new DIY juice drip tester. It's a rebuilt phoenix with gauze threads. I put slots up the bottom of the tube to slide over the wicks then twist to pinch the wick to hopefully keep the test liquid from wicking out of the tube. The phoenix silicon top seal is like a funnel feeding the juice down to the wick. After testing a liquid, twist the tube, pull some new wick into place, cut off the used portion and it's ready for the next test.

i would literally get a generator or use an inverter on random cars lol!Damn cotton is too good. Even with the wick pinched off tight the juice still wicked throughout. Oh well, I thought it would work.
I have read most of this thread...certainly not all of it...although i'm working on it...The thought occurred to me, sorry if it's been mentioned, has anyone used Butcher's Twine? The stuff chefs use to truss chickens and turkeys and to wrap roasts? Seems like a perfect media and readily available. Any thoughts?
Has this thread run its course? Did Quigs get so plastered we all decided to give him the weekend off? I dont think so people, just because our Canadian friend may have a headache, doesn't mean the search for wicking perfection has come to a halt. Now that I got that off my chest I have news to report. Some of you may remember a couple of days ago I reported a strange incident where I returned home from the Drs office and found some gauze in my pocket. Well after rebuilding my Ody with at least 5 diff materials, including the original wick product supplied by COV, it appears as if I've found wicking perfection. The brand name is StarLine. Its called Sterile Gauze Sponges, 2"x2" 12 ply. It looks like cheesecloth. I cut it into quarters, took 1 quarter and rolled it as if rolling a cig. The rest of the process is well known, and basically I followed Quigs' video procedure. I am aware this is not really breaking news, but in this little corner of vaping utopia, this is a breakthrough. You may now all go back to whatever it was that you were doing before this brief interruption, and thank you for your time.
