Does that thing have a 510 base? Looks interesting.
So, life's been too busy for me to closely follow my subscribed threads. What did we come up with as far as the safeness of the "bamboo" yarn? I did see that someone brought up the fact that it's viscose. The fact that it's viscose pretty much means it's rayon, and no longer bears any real resemblance to bamboo. It's cellulose fiber. They jacked the cellulose from bamboo in this case, but it could have come from a tree, or any plant. The good part would be that rayon is more absorbent than cotton, the potential bad is that it's obviously not a true natural fiber any more. But stainless steel isn't natural, and it's very good. As long as the rayon doesn't leach anything when it's hot, we should be OK, right? I think they use rayon for growing tissue cultures, and it's biodegradable, so the lung-irritant mesothelioma shouldn't be an issue. Have we come up with any negative aspects, health-wise?
I'm with you on this. It's a "lesser of evils" thing for certain. But there's long term heart/cancer stuff, and there's "oh, this causes cumulative irreversible brain damage, you'll be a vegetable in a year". Maybe next year instead of Quigsworth and Bourbonman we'll be Carrotsworth and Broccoliman....Kale_Breeze and Celery Vap, MickeyRutabaga, TomCabbage, and the rest. For me, I have to stop every so often and put these things back into perspective...I just recently had my 1 yr/no cigs anniversary so from a "harm reduction" point of view...seems to me that Aunt Lydia's would be an order of magnitude safer than what I was inhaling a year ago...don't get me wrong, I'm not diminishing the possible harm I could be exposing myself to but....
