The Trading Standards people have been looking into liquid nicotine sales in the UK. They enforce legislation such as the Poisons Act and were finding out if eliquid was covered by the restrictions of that act.

Pillbox had Wicked tested for nicotine content to prove that it was exempt and was allowed to sell it here again.

My understanding is that you can't import now to Australia because it's covered by your poison laws :(

Well... guess, by people from the Trading Standards having been involved and testing, any ozzie ordering this could at least see TW as part of the regulated liquid (so 'regulated poison') instead of seeing it as unregulated? Does sound to me to be a possible way - that this particular liquid might be accepted by government of Victoria as belonging to the regulated part of the poisons-act? I think, if I lived over there, that I would at least give this a try by ordering it, then see what the authorities would do with/about it - I don't see how they could easily accuse you of ordering contraband, if you have searched for, and found, e-liquid that DID get investigated by the authorities? Or am I saying something stupid now?

Katink, I'm pretty sure Kate is correct. Wicked is not "regulated" in the sense that authorities are going to want. Pillbox has cleared only the first obstacle that will be thrown at him until one obstacle can't be crossed. Implications for the future are clear. The UK will follow Australia's path.

Papa, you can't vape BlackLeaf 40! It's so deadly you can die quickly from skin contact with it. No lay person should mess with concentrated nicotine!

Wasn't thinking of vaping insecticide TB, I was thinking more of a potential legal loophole point of view :) Flavoured low strength insecticides... Probably a silly idea.

The other thing people should really look at is exactly what they have outlawed and how is it defined in the legislation. Is any of it open to a challenge in court?

A "nicotine delivery device" it is arguable, is only that when it is loaded with nicotine. An e-cig can be used with no nicotine liquid, and is used that way by some on here.

The nicotine fluid I could see being an issue at some point, but I am really surprised they have banned the e-cigs themselves.

They tried to ban me from selling the e-cig on its own with carts that had no nicotine .... My point to T/Stands was you can NOT ban a product because of what somone might put into it, because if that were the case they would have to ban shops like 4 front and the gadget shop from selling bongs which are for the purpose of smoking an illegal drugs..... They let me carry on selling the ecig with zero carts... Since then all the carts are now back on our stand and in child proof containers.

I am really surprised they have banned the e-cigs themselves.

I understand that TB
I just thought it would be the easiest way to try
'cos wicked have the safety data and testing results,
and compliance data etc. in UK,
it would look good for a starting point to try for a legal approval here, with lots of data to show and tell......
it might stand a good chance... maybe......
certainly better chance than any of the others without any data.

I read somewhere possibly on here that Ruyan has applied to FDA for their product and it should be more widely available next year?? Also I have talked to ___________ <-- (Insert made up name there as i dont want any trouble like i had with the supplier First union) at Desonic Another Maker of e-cigs ie: the 5072 which is just like the 4072 just a diff manufacturer who swears their product is better. But Desonic is coming to CES in what is it 8 days to peddle their wares.. And say they have their Stuff in with the FDA. THey have also told me they are trying to get a deal with QVC lol which i find hilarious.. but more power to em.. We will see where all the legal mumbo jumbo goes.. Iam gonna have to cut my nicotine eventaully down to 0 if they start banning the nicotine. Which think is insane.. because this acutually work.. I really feel for the ozzies...
