Here's my wicking. I used to twist the cotton tight then tuck it under the coil. Should I go back to that?

Too little cotton perhaps? Is your coil resistance high or floating all over the place? Whenever I had weak coils, it was probably due to poor coil lead contact at the screw heads.

There's a new kid in town though. Big clouds, better heat and flavor transfer. I've rewicked everything with this, even T3s and I can tell you there wont be any stealth vaping anymore......big clouds!

It's a .6 ohm build. I checked the screws and they're as tight as they'll go without snapping the wire. I'm thinking too little cotton.

Ya, at . 6 ohms, your cotton just might be keeping up. Again, check out my link for rayon (cellucotton) wicks. It can keep up.

If the cotton is snug in the coil, it is not to little or to much.

Loose=to little
Tight=To much

To much liquid will hold back vapor until some burns off. Low air flow will kill vapor.

Cool thanks!

It's not tight but not loose. I twisted them well this time using a stillare clone by tobeco. The air flow is great actually. I think it was too little cotton.

Dang... Just noticed my reply missed a word. NOT..... might NOT be keeping up, is what I meant. You shouldn't be twisting the cotton.... Just compacting it. You'd twist only the tip to feed the coil. If u have to twist to squeeze it into the coil... It's probably too much cotton.

Seriously though.... Forget cotton balls and check out the rayon thread.... Your search will be over.
