I recently purchased some readyxwick to use on a rm2 with my Reo. I love it! The thing is, the rm2 is small with no well so my wick barely sticks out each side of the coil. It works great. I want to try the readyxwick in my kayfuns and magma rda, but I'm not sure how much wick I need to use. I'm assuming that on the kayfuns I would use just enough to hit the bottom of the deck, as the wick is too rigid to bend enough to lay across the bottom, but I'd like confirmation on that, and on the magma I have no idea. I've had problems with my magma leaking, and have been told it's probably the way I'm wicking it. If anyone out there is using readyxwick on either of these two, can you please share how much wick you are using. Pics would be awesome

Can't help with the kayfun or magma builds, but a couple of thoughts occur....

For the RM2, try tilting the coil a little so one end of it is lower (a little less than 45 degrees). The RxW will then project down towards the deck, making squonking even easier. I haven't played around with a Magma, but if it's like the Odin, you can use this same tilt trick to get the wicks into the juice wells.

For the genny, try building a microcoil of 1/16" inner diameter (a drill bit of that size will work nicely as a mandrel), mount it, and then twist the RxW into (and through) the coil. 2 mm RxW fits 1/16" coils perfectly - just cut the leading edge at a 45 degree angle to get it started and screw it into the coil (using the coil loops as threading). General consensus is that inserting the RxW is better than twisting a coil around it.

Didn't see your post earlier. Will try when it needs a new coil. Thanks.

RxW (3mm) in my KFL and my R91 was my wick of choice until I tried rayon. In fact, the RxW is what allowed me to build awesomely hitherto unvapable low-ohm coils on those devices. I used a straightened paperclip inside the 3mm to keep it rigid as I wrapped my coils, and -- if memory serves -- 6 contact wraps of 24g gave me ~0.5Ohms which was pretty awesome. I would trim the wick ends with the chimney sleeve on and then tuck them gently down so that they curled just onto the deck floor.
