Just wondering how do you really wick with cotton because im not sure if im doing it right. Wondering if im using to much or too little cuz i cant seem to get this rda game figured out.

What type of coil are you wrapping?

I use micro coils, 1/16" inside diameter and put in as much cotton as will easily slide in. I roll one end of the wick before putting it in and wet it to keep it together to start threading. I pull that through until I get to the area that is not rolled (not compressed) and make sure it slides easily in the coil. I leave about 1/4" hanging out each side. This is in a RDA.

Put too much cotton in there and the wicks don't last long and don't perform as well. Not enough and vapor and flavor are reduced.

Experiment a bit and you will figure it out quickly ;)

on what kind of a tanks...but yeah some form of a micnanocoil and thread a lil through....imho cleanest flavor and soooo sooo easy to have....uh oh ran out of mesh/rope/silica/etc and forgot to order more...damn now i have to run out to a vape shop or order....no no no...to the medicine cabinet/your travel bag with the baggie from the hotel you stayed in for the q-tips/the nearest store...but besides the easiest material to get into a coil of any size.
oh..your question. it would depend on your coil....but im assuming its some form of micnanocoil. i guess just enough that when you roll up one end of the cotton and pull it through it stops w/o much pressure. also a small amount ....if its fluffy i dunno like 5x the diameter of the coil. the cotton expands so a lil play is a good thing...dont want to choke the micnano.then cut ends...
if you want a more specific answer from someone, maybe the tank you are using and what kind of coil would get you a more spesific answer.
take care

Today I made a dual coil on my Nimbus and I only use cotton. 9 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal around a 1/16 drill bit. I made this after looking at RIP TRippers video on a nano dragon coil. The cotton does not actually go through the coil. My first time doing this build and it rocks. Lots of vapor and the flavor is superb. If you would like to see some good builds with cotton look up any of RIP Trippers videos on Youtube - especially the dragon coil build. I usually use less wraps and pull my cotton though the coil, but until I find a better method, I will continue to use this build. Loving it! I have never used cotton yarn so cant comment there.

What kind of build are you aiming for?

If you can't figure out which I would guess too much. Pull just enough through that you have really light resistance against the coil while pulling it through. If you roll it then it should go through the coil with no resistance, it will swell and touch the coil when you put eliquid on it.
