Pretty awesome day as far, got vapemail from IBTanked and the BIGGIE....

My wife suggested that we go to the local vape shop that I told her about earlier this week, freakin' stoked, don't have to ask me twice! !!

Anyway, what's behind the story is that I have been steadily and very patiently working on my wife to give vaping a fair chance as a viable option to at least cut-back (my hope) on her smoking. This week she really has taken to vaping and in turn cut-back considerably, approximately a 1/4 of her normal amount, needless to say I am ecstatic :)

Spent about $100 today on 3 new flavors (we must have tried a good 30) she picked out and a some various things she thought were cute, what ever it takes to help her along ...

Plus as an added bonus, she has been introduced to the ProVari, so the seed has been planted you could say :thumb:

Cool always better when the wifey is on board!

Yup, after 26 years I guess I am trained enough to be able to pick up on the that's-not-going-to-fly vibe, the ProVari is still in the picture and she's gaining an increasing interest in vaping. Told her I have "some" DIY supplies and flavors coming, figured I had to at some point prior to the boxes showing up  and got her interested in formulating our own Atomic Fireball to start. Yes, much easier when she's on-board, :)

Good story... I really think it helps to get someone on board with vaping if you go to an actual B&M shop with them. Instead of them just being told about it, they get to feel more involved and start thinking of their own e-juice flavors/combos, e-cig models, etc... it's more tactile than looking at images/descriptions on aWeb site, and I think that going to a shop somehow "legitimizes" e-cigs for apprehensive starters.

I think today was a real turning point, as you said, she did the picking this time instead of me trying to find something for her .

What was really funny today while we were in the shop a guy comes in looking to buy a set-up, kinda talking big about how he's going to force his wife to quit, take her cigs, yada-yada, thought my wife was going to fall out of the chair laughing. To the credit of the guy behind the counter, he very tactfully said that it wasn't really a good idea, bring her in to look for something that she might be interested in trying. I was really impressed he gave up an easy sale...

Yep, vaping is not something that you can "force" someone to do...

Think that can be said for pretty much anything in a relationship, can only imagine how well that would have went over...

I know what my wife would have most likely done and it wouldn't have been too good for me :?:

I am thinking one ProVari in a 2 vaper household...could get ugly...lol.

Luckily she's pretty content with her eGo mini(s) and her eGo 650 at this point. I am, in one of the many aspects, very lucky that she not the got-to-have the latest-and-greatest type, as long as something works for her she's generally good-to-go, unlike myself

I was just looking at the ProVape website yet again, thought I had my mind set on the ProVari but leaning back towards the original ProVape, I can see the plus side to VV however the ProVape should be able to rock anything between 1.8ohm to 2.8ohm anyway, decisions-decisions....

But yes, I could see a possible confiscating/claiming the big gun if her interest continues past the current point of a quit smoking aid :)

Yup, been looking at the website daily, even load the cart a couple times for fun or torture depending on how you look at it. A blem ProVari (+10 satin blk) w/ charger and 2 batteries about $60 more than the ProVape kit, not all that much in the big scheme of things :)

I feel your pain. The black satin wants to be my second. She's serenading me with her satiny good looks, seducing me with her high-quality charm. Temptation, indeed!

With all the negative threads about the B&M's I thought you were going to say that the guy behind the counter hit on your wife lol.

Nope, I wouldn't be here to tell the story unless there's computer access in a holding cell

Naw, these guys are pretty cool, take a lot of time with you if needed and the store is pretty comfortable now, they just did a pretty big change up front adding seating and sample racks to taste juices, pretty happy they seem to be doing well enough, got to be hard competing with the online vendors...
