Well, I'm a sucker. I just got Hector's ashes back a few days ago. I miss him. Achilles misses him and we all feel a little empty. My co-worker had two kittens he and his family have been fostering for the SPCA. They were left in a box on the SPCA doorstep at about 1 week old with no Mama cat. Their eyes weren't even open yet. The co-worker and his family have been bottle feeding the two and raising them with their own kitties. Last weekend they were ready to be returned to the SPCA for adoption now that they are 8 weeks old and healthy. He really wanted me to take at least one of them so he would be able to get updates and know how they are doing. I met them, fell for little "Mo" and went through the adoption process. He's at the SPCA vet tonight after being neutered and I'm picking him up in the morning.
Meet "Mo"
I wasn't completely feeling this new commitment until I went with him back to the SPCA for his neuter and checkup. I wanted to see him again before they took him back to the kennel and when I took him out of the carrier he was so scared - he cuddled up in my hands and looked right into my eyes like "Don't leave me!!!" Now I can't wait to have him home with us all safe and secure with a lot of love and spoiling.
