Will high vg juices work in the vivi nova?

I am new to vaping and I am finding out that pg bothers me. I purchased a variety of juices with 80/20 and 70/30 pg/vg and I am getting the heavy chest extreme cotton mouth and canker sores. I think I need to try some 50/50 or higher vg juices and I am wondering how the vivi nova will handle them? If I buy some 100% vg with the same flavor and nic mg can I use it to dilute the pg n the juices I have already purchased? Thanks

The flavor is a bit muted in vivi nova honestly, compared to regular cartomizers. But I don't know enough yet to really suggest anything. The vape/convenience of the vivi is a pretty big difference over stardard cartomizers. So I don't know what to suggest. I'm not having all the problems you're having though. Just worried a bit about having glycerin dropping from my nose and wondering what it's doing to my lungs.

Yes you can dilute your 80pg 20vg with 100vg. I use 100vg no-flavor base liquid to dilute my juices, and it also makes my juices taste more mild. Base liquids are cheap, you can get a 50ml for about $5.

Thanks for confirming my plan. I think I am going to order the 100% vg in the same flavors that I want to dilute so I don't lose to much flavor. I am hoping I can find the perfect blend before to long because I really enjoy vaping. I can see this turning into a hobby of sorts for me. With my dh deploying to Afghanistan in March this will definitely help me stay busy and focused on something else.

Thanks.

According to you. Please stop speaking for everyone. I don't find the flavor muted in my Novas at all and I despise the taste from a carto.

Thus far I am happy with the Novas and the flavor I am tasting. I just don't want to dilute the flavors any when I do the dilutions to lower the pg levels. I am still learning what equipment works best for me and the juices I will end up with. I feel stupid ordering so many flavors in the 80/20 and now I am stuck trying to fix it cause I don't want to waste the juice. Aside from the sensitivity I am having to the higher levels of pg I love vaping.

Ok, That's according to you as well. Other people also agree with me on flavors being slightly muted. I am not the only one. Why don't you stop harassing me.

I think youre being generous as it is. "Slightly" doesnt begin to describe how much ViVi Novas mute the flavor of my 10/90 pg/vg juices.

Also if Im not mistaken HHV doesnt recommend high vg juice blends. I was told they wouldnt wick right in a carto tank even though I have zero issues with my Hype from AVE in a Smoktech with 2 holes.

@gthompson are you running that Nova unmodified??

Flavor in my METAL mini-nova is 100% there. Here is a tip for 100% VG in a nova.
Take slow draws, lets the juice wick and vape.

Thanks for the tip. I have a metal mini nova ordered along with a kanger mt3 to try out. Before I am done I will have a ton of tanks and juices. I have only been vaping for 2 weeks and I think I have spent close to $300. It is definitely worth it though as I knows costs will go down once I have my set up and juices figured out.

In my short vaping experience I think it depends on the vendor. I get stuff from Johnson's Creek(Red Oak) 100% VG and wicks fine but I got some reduced PG stuff(80VG/20 possibly 90VG/10) stuff from EC Blend and another local vendor and its like a gel almost and hard to wick and couldn't even get the stuff from the local vendor to soak into a cartomizer when dripping until I found the condom method(hooray condom method). I have also tried the distilled water thing and did not work for me at all. Did not thin out and I went higher than 1 drop per 2 ML.

I vape 100% VG in my mini nova all the time and it works great. I have mine attached to an ego twist . .I just need to periodically shake it so that juice gets up to the top of the clearo otherwise I get dry/burnt hits. I basically give it a good shake every 2-3 puffs. The heads last a long time - I have had this one going for 3 weeks now - and I find the flavor to be good, too. I drip these same juices - I just don't get the whole muted flavor thing . .maybe a little more flavor from dripping but not enough that I'd really notice unless doing a side by side comparison. Maybe I just have dead tastebuds, lol

BTW - the 2 100% VG juices I have are Bobas Bounty and something I got from a local vendor. The one from the local vendor is way thicker than the Bobas - but they both perform fine for me.

All I vape is 100% VG out of my nova mini and I have no problems, I rebuild my coils with 100% cotton wicks but even before that I still had no problems. Just make sure you let the wick really soak in the juice on the first fill. I'll usually put one drop on the coil and place the nova upside down for a few minutes just to be safe

Thanks for the tips everyone. I am going to give it a try once I get my new juices in.

Yup it's like a hobby for me, and also a learning experience. So don't feel bad when you bought a bunch of 80pg 20vg because you're going through a learning experience and trying to figure out what is best for you. I'm not into DIY, but when I dilute my own juices I mix them seperately into small empty plastic e-liquid bottles. A small 3ml empty plastic e-liquid bottle only cost 0.30cents but they're very useful and handy:

Thanks a bunch. You are right about the learning curve...lol. I ordered some empty bottles so I should be all set once my knew juices come in.
