Hey everyone, I'm new on this forum nice to meet you all.

I have a few questions as i'm really new to these mod types of ecig, here it goes.
So I started out with these disposable e-cigs but i'm not sure if everything inside of it is safe to use and it didn't really replace my need to smoke so this is why i decided to go for a Rebuildable one as it seems to smoke smoother and can be modified.
Now I'm about to buy the following setup but I want to make sure that it'll all work with eachother.

- E-leaf 20W iStick
- Kanger sub-tank mini

Another question i have is regarding the coils, how thick should the wire be? I see diameters 0.25 - 0.40mm, Should i buy all three and test them out or is there a preferred size that most users use?
Also, what would happen if i were to use a coil under 1.00ohm in the 10watt or 20watt iStick because it says thats it's only capable of using 1.00ohm or higher. On top of that the Kanger sub-tank has a 0.5 sub ohm so this won't work with a 10watt or 20watt?

If anyone could also recommend me a better mod (has to be as small as the E-leaf iStick 10watt or 20watt version) where the Kanger subtank fits on i would highly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Warm regards.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

28 gauge Kanthal is the most common size used.

The iStick 20 watt cannot fire a coil lower than 1Ω so you will not be able to use the 0.5Ω coil in the iStick 10watt/20watt.

If anyone could also recommend me a better mod (has to be as small as the E-leaf iStick 10watt or 20watt version) where the Kanger subtank fits on i would highly appreciate it.
Look at the iStick 30 watt (it's basically the same size as the 20watt). It will fire a 0.5Ω coil. It's a much better mod as eLeaf made some much needed upgrades that addressed many of the problems users had with the 20watt mod.

I highly recommend you DO NOT go SUB-OHM at ALL till you have at least a vague idea of what you are doing vaping.. Stay above 1ohm, preferably 1.5ohms till you understand how EVERYTHING works together. Mistakes at 1.5ohm, are much less likely to "let the smoke out" of your equipment. Mistake below 1ohm, sometime go BOOM.

I agree with all of the above comments provided so far. Rebuilding, and in particular "sub ohm", are for more experienced (or at least knowledgeable/educated) vapers.

Alright, will stick to the premade 1ohm coils or higher to begin with.
Thanks for the links!

Thanks, will definitely go for the 30W, awesome that it's the same size :D

The 30 watt iStick and subtank mini is a great combination. I own both and they perform nicely. You can buy pre-made coils that are 1.2Ω and simply screw in and vape. I personally prefer the higher ohm coils, but the 30 watt stick will also fire the 0.5Ω pre-made coils if you want to try higher wattage.

Great to know, thanks you.

Will buy premade 1-1.5 coils and try them out, thanks for your input.

Agreed. Don't subohm with a battery that can't do it. Bad things can happen. That said, the istick 30 is just about identical to the 20 in form factor and it's actually a decent battery for the mini. Don't go crazy with the rba. 28 or 26 gage is about all that'll fit in her. Keep coiks at or above 0.5 ohm. Safety first.
