Im getting so excited, my first e-cig should be here any day. I was telling a guy at work about it, and he asked if I thought it would help him switch from dipping to vaping. Being a newb, I told him I would ask you guys. He's fairly young, in his 20's, I believe, so he doesn't have a 20 yr habit to overcome. (and obviously, I can't speak from experience yet. :p)

Any thoughts? I'm currently in the stage of wanting everyone I know to try this!! If it gets me to quit smoking, it might end up not being a stage, lol. Thanks, I love this forum!

If you mean chewing i would think it would or some sort yes i think it would.
Our brain receptors get hooked on nicotine and tell us light up another (cravings)
What the PVs do is satisfy them receptors .
This how it was explained to me before i started vaping .
I was a 2pad smoker for almost 40 years and instantly stopped.
Everyone is different though but it surprised the heck outta me cause nothing else worked period.

Should be easier than the average smoker making the switch. While you still have the same alkaloids in smoking as you do in dipping, tobacco smoke has the addition of carbon monoxide, which may be addictive as well. Since that is not an issue for him, it will likely be easier to switch. If he struggles with it, another alternative may be snus, a low TSN form of tobacco with studies already showing lower incidence of CV disease and cancer normally associated with tobacco use.

I love vaping, but I think it's the hand to mouth, inhalation, smoke-like vapor action that makes it work for most analog users. A person who uses smokeless tobacco doesn't experience those things. I would think the gum or snus would be closer to the dipping experince.

Of course if he's tried those things and it didn't help, maybe vaping would work for him. And if he's excited about it, there's more a chance that he would stick with it. There's no harm in giving it a shot either way.
