I agree with Rob. I'm using this to get off the analogs & hopefully get off cigs totally. Problem is I ENJOY this habit, real or ecig. I'm still smoking analogs but not near as much as I was. I don't have enough ecig equipment yet to quit analogs totally but as soon as I do I'm getting off the analogs. But the way I see it, it's healthier than analogs so if I don't quit vaping I'm still ahead of the game.

to all those who think they will quit vaping after vaping zero liquid for a while....

well, i thought that too but it won't work.

the addiction is not only nicotine,it's the hole process of putting something feelable in your lungs other than air..... so it will need almost as much willpower as quitting analogs (cold turkey).

...sorry to burst your bubble....

I just started vaping this week - but I'm lovin' it!(sorry, direct McDonald's quote just slipped in!)

I figure I'll eventually drop to the 0 nic liquid - but it's the habit - the oral fixation, the draw, the inhale, the exhale....the entire ritual that I'm addicted to.

Last analog: 03.10.09 at 03:10:09 (just guessing about the seconds...)

I will most likely vape forever, although I suspect I'll basically be vaping 0 nic the vast majority of the time (if not completely).

It's funny . . . my husband had assumed that I'd be eliminating analogs (which I did), reducing my nicotine intake (which I am), eventually moving completely to no nic (not there yet and in no hurry), and then ultimately giving up vaping entirely. Huh?

I quickly disabused him of that one. I KNOW that for me, the habit itself is a huge component of my addiction. I ENJOY inhaling. :D So, yes, even with the jury still out on the safety aspects of vaping, I still have no plans of quitting vaping.

Awww, bubble bursted 8-o - that was my plan...LOL
I didn't think I could quit analogs the 1st day with my mini, but I did with medium juice...planning on cutting back slowly and even if I have to stay at zero liquid forever, so be it. Far healthier than 2-3 packs a day that I was doing!

Can't see myself ever not vaping. I smoked for 40 years and finally stopped putting tobacco in my lungs around January. Love the nicotine but very happy not having to deal with tobacco. I actually prefer vaping to smoking and have to be sure I don't run out of anything so I never have to light up again.

I keep getting "Great, you quit smoking, when will you quit e-cigs?" I give them the same answer I did when they asked me about quitting smoking..."I'll quit about halfway through the heart attack that kills me."

Until I found vaping, I never intended to quit smoking. Every time I tried, I failed. I enjoyed smoking. I liked it. It was killing me, I couldn't breathe, but I still enjoyed it.

Now I've found a way to get that same enjoyment with something that doesn't make me wake up in the middle of the night coughing and gasping for air. Why should I quit?

If it's found out that vaping is really bad for us, and I'm talking as bad as analogs or worse, then I guess I will have to quit. But until then, I am thinking I'll stick with it.

I enjoy vaping as much as anybody. I was a 3ppd analog smoker for nearly 40 yrs and haven't had one this year. YAY!!

I disagree with parapo, (sorry) I believe if the desire is there, it is possible. I also believe that if you've tapered down to 0 nic it will much easier to quit without the "cold turkey" feelings of quitting analogs because you have weined yourself from nicotine. I'm not saying it will be easy, but surely much easier because you're only dealing with the habit minus the addiction. Again, the desire to do so has to be there.

Good luck to all regardless what your goals may be.
