Went on the search for some VG to experiment with today. Came up empty handed.

The closest I could find was a 2oz. bottle of glycerine at Michaels. Is this stuff ok to use?

I looked at the ingredients and it said "Ingredients: Glycerin"

Not sure if thats veggie based, or even USP??? So I didnt buy it cuz I wanted to ask on here first. That stuff was damn thick as well.

So would it have been ok to use?

Thanks!

Jim

I have purchased it and used it only once and it didn't seem to hurt anything, but it is not USP (pharmaceutical grade) so I decided not to use it again. I got HUMCO brand at my local WalMart pharmacy which is USP Glycerin and that has been working just fine for me. I'm now going to order some true vegetable glycerin online and see how that works.

Many people like NOW brand glycerin and think it's the best, 100% pure vegetable glycerin. You can get it at health food stores. I have a bottle.

And I also have a bottle of generic-type USP glycerin which was cheaper, and I can't tell any difference in smell or taste.

USP, that's the thing to look for. Pure enough for me.

Just in case you havent ordered any yet, Lorann does sell soy based glycerin located here:
https://www.lorannoils.com/p-8426-glycerine-natural.aspx
In the 4oz ($2.99) and 16oz ($9.50) bottles. I have used it before and it is USP and very clean.
Hope this helps you.
