Caution, Will Robinson. I work very closely with the criminal element sometimes. When you see inexplicable ignorance, it is often a wolf in sheeps clothing. Nobody is going to waste their time selling the same story over and over without an agenda. I think he was looking for a weak link that would let him into someone elses account.
It never ceases to amaze me sometimes, the amount of hard work, sly craft, and clever connivings can be expended on small ill gains. Those same skills and resources applied consecutively to more honest endeavors would surely produce far larger gains, and of legitimate goals.
When we travel to small towns, the innocence of the staff at hotels astounds me. My first duty before checking in the crew, is giving the staff a quick lesson on hotel security. These little hotels in quaint places are outrageously naive. You can walk up to the desk and tell them you have lost your key to pretty much any room in the hotel, and they will promptly and politely make you a "new" one. That's the tip of the iceberg.
