I wonder if that's a restaurant worker thing. You get called off and end up having to leave your food/drink behind. I'm not a fan of hot liquids either. Even food, sometimes I have to let it sit and cool off first. So now when I drink coffee it's usually iced.

That might have something to do with it.

I remember one time, against my better judgement, I ordered a pound of snow crabs legs.......wouldnt you know it, as soon as they were out of the steamer, we got swamped with tables.

I like to give people a hard time when they tell me to have a nice day.

I always say 'Dont tell me what kind of day to have. What if I want to have a crappy day? Did you think of that?

When I was working and someone would say something like that I would always smile and tell them "well then have a crappy day!" Got more giggles from customers who didn't think I would go with the flow and tease them right back
