I noticed there isn't even a Canadian section in the social area let alone Winnipeg lol.

I'd be happy to hear from any other Winnipeg vapers. Who knows maybe even a meet/caffe takeover (outdoors ;)

Cheers

I'm from Winnipeg,I met a few others here from around the Peg who are trying to get a vape meet going.....glad to meet you Polsmoka!

Hey folks. Well I'm sure nowhere is going to let this happen inside but a cafe outside would be fun/fine. I kind of wish I could change my username on here; when I signed up I figured I was only going to go on to ask a few questions then be done so I made my username quickly without thinking it sounds like somehting other than Paul Smoker, and plus I haven't been a smoker for over a year duhhh.

Well the first thing we should do is get a name list going.

I can't believe that no one will agree to let us have a meet indoors! I am not really familiar with any pubs in the city so I wish I could help, but I was just wondering if you have been inquiring over the phone or asking in person and giving a demo of your PV? A meet on the patio would be fine too, maybe that would give us a better shot at getting a yes. Have you tried Tavern United? They have a really nice patio area where you can smoke so vaping for sure wouldn't be a problem, maybe we could even talk our way indoors.

It doesn't surprise me or really bother me. People are scared of the unknown. It's also like why should they have to put up with all the questions other patrons might ask them. It's not like the vapor is unseen or is orderless either. I get people walking by my desk and asking who is baking cookies lol. Who knows what all out different flavor choices would smell like mixed. In my own home after heavy vaping and big patio windows the vape lingers in the air....

I asked 4 in person - 2 on the phone. Some were interested in vaping and what it entailed, I even gave one of them a few websites (including this one) to check out. But they will not take a chance on it not being a problem with other patrons in the establishment.

Gaffer's in Lockport has a lovely patio area. I haven't approached them yet, but I will this week.

Not living in Winnipeg and not going into the city very often it's kinda hard for me to drive around and ask at a lot of places unless I make a special trip.

If we want to have this in Winnipeg somewhere maybe someone local in Winnipeg could ask around.

Does it matter where we have it?

Hi CdnBison and welcome to the forum!

I went to the website of the company you bought your ecig from. I have no idea what kind of ecig that would be compatible with so that you could get more cartomizers.

Someone more knowledgeable than I am could probably tell you.

We have no one reputable in Winnipeg that I know of where you can buy supplies.

There are some very awesome vendors in Canada that you can order from online. Check out NicFit Nation, Electro Vapors, Cdnvapor, and others in the Canadian Suppliers subforum. They can help you decide what you want/need.

If you need something to tide you over or you get desperate let us know. Nobody needs to go back to smoking - we'll set you up with some stuff until you can build your own vaping arsenal!

Best advice I can offer right now is hang out on the forum and read, read, read. Head for the ECF library first and go from there. And there are always great people around who can answer any questions you may have.

Thanks Kat!

From research, it seems to be an RN4081 - very common model for the mall vendors to stock. (Don't judge me!! :p)
As for juice, I have an order placed with a Canadian company, and there apparently is a local sell-by-mail merchant. I'm going to try and source from there first, but if my juice gets too low, I may be sending a wave of panicked PMs. ;-)

There is a guy named Jere that sells locally. I refuse to support him because his claims are outragoues and his business is a scam, claiming that 1 kit will equal 50-60 packs of smokes, which I am sure has left many high and dry (including myself!!). I believe the following 2 websites are his:

smartsmokes.ca
OHH HEALTH PRODUCTS & SERVICES LTD.

His first website sells the RN4081's, but the second has 510, 4088 and 4089 (never heard of these 2, they might be 4081's?), As far as I know he never stocked cartomizers, just atomizers with prefilled cartridges. You would be better off getting some liquid and just refilling the cartomizers that you have. His liquid has dropped in price, it used to be $30 for 6mL, now its $30 for 30mL, which isn't totally outrageous if you are in a pinch and can get it same day.

The only place in Canada that sells RN4081 is Smokestik Canada Shopping Cart (if I remember correctly!) and unfortunately all I see on there is prefilled cartomizers with 0 nic. Your best bet would be to switch over to a 510 or ego as the supplies/accesories are abundant (and more affordable) from Canadian suppliers. If you want to try and make it work with your RN4081, you'll have to pick up some supplies from across the border (check for vendors here RN 4081 *Super Mini* ), and if you want I have some extra RN4081 batteries/charger that you can have. You need to find a way to confirm that what you have is RN4081 compatible before you order a bunch of supplies though!

I am a ways out of the city, but if you are in need I would be happy to mail you some juice or meet you half ways to give you some stuff to get you through.

Lelly - I found the second listing. And yeah, it's pricey. I'm hoping I cam hold out until my other order get here, but it just shipped from within Canada, so I'm holding out hope.

I'd definitely be interested in buying your old eqpt. based on all my research, SmokeFree is just Smoke Everywhere, but rebranded to avoid angry mall customers. ;-)

No need to buy, its all yours. If you want to wait until we get a meet going, I can give it to you there, meet you partway to the city, or just pop it in the mail. I never had any luck with the batteries. I think I have 4 of them laying around, but I only ever had 2 in rotation because the second one was never done charging by the time I got through the first one. Hopefully what you have is better quality and you can just use these ones as a backup or something. Have you thought of getting a PCC for them, (personal charging case, about the size of a pack of smokes that is portable and will charge your battery up to 4 times?) I heard that the Joye 510 PCC will charge them http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rn-4081-super-mini/30396-i-found-pcc-rn4081s.html , might be worth investing in if you think you are going to stick with the 4081 set-up. I think I have a couple of atomizers too with some carts (minus the filler, tried to mod them but they still didn't work well) which would be good for trying new flavors. I dipped instead of dripped because of the auto battery/exposed bridge.

I am not familiar with the 4081 cartomizers, but on the 510 Boge's that I have, I pop off the rubber mouthpiece end, drip about 20 drops of juice down the sides while rotating, letting each drop absorb, put the cap and condoms back on, let it soak in for a few hours, then blow any excess juice out before putting it on the battery, then vape away! Depending on the cartomizer, they can be filled 2-10 times before they start to die, so you will need to find some more somewhere if that is what you want to use mainly. I didn't see any available on the site that you listed, but I have seen them around.

For the carts that came with my 4081 kit, I removed the batting with tweezers, put about 5-10 drops of liquid into the reservoir, replaced the batting, put a couple more drops on top, vape away! The atomizers and carts on these don't hold much so I found it more convenient just to dip. I put my juice in a clean contact lens case and dipped the bridge of the atty every 5-10 puffs. I pulled all of the stuffing out of my carts and tried the PTB mod, it didn't go so well, but if you plan on giving the carts a go, you might want to look into a blue foam mod, stuff they use in aquarium filters that can be purchased from a pet store, I think it is called Fluval but that might be something else. Lots of info on the forum somewhere about it so a quick search will lead you in the right direction.

I am glad you are getting all set up, but if (or should I say when? lol) you feel the need to upgrade at some point, go for a 510 or 808 battery connection, like an ego, 510, bloog, etc as those are the most popular kinds and most places in Canada will stock atomizers/cartomizers/spare parts so you don't have to worry about customs and long waiting periods, shipping costs, availability and prices for the things you need.
