Since Judge Leon ruled that e-cigarettes are tobacco products as defined by the FSPTCA, tobacco companies are wisely beginning to develop and market e-cigarettes.

This will generate even more competition for new and improved vaporized tobacco products, which will benefit public health and should reduce prices.

Obama's FDA is the only major threat to continued triple digit annual growth for the US e-cigarette market.

My own personal opinion is that BT getting into the market will not be conducive to either of these things. The last thing BT will want once they are established in the market is competition from mom and pop vendors. And as far as reduced prices, I don't see that happening either. A more likely scenario it seems is non-flavored 4mg carts priced similarly to commercial cigarettes.

I gotta say I can't see that no matter how hard I try.

If Big Tobacco used it's influence to restrict us to 4mg carts priced similar to commercial cigarettes, they would be stupid.
And I am quite positive they are not stupid.

They all know their current business model is under heavy attack, and they all know that electronic cigarette can save them.
But only if electronic cigarettes remain an effective alternative.

Limits on nicotine levels and prices similar to cigarettes is NOT going to do that for them, and I'm sure they know it.

The restriction to pre-filled though is something they must be looking at.
But I sort of doubt they have much fear of the mom and pop vendors, because they serve a niche market.
