We don't need no stinkin' travel ban!

Oh, that car ride was very enjoyable! :D
Of course, it was enjoyable because I didn't have to drive in it, lol

It's times like this (extreme weather) that remind me I need to have more mod batts than just the two that I have. If all else fails I got several eGo batts if the lights go out and I am unable to charge anything.
I really hope that doesn't happen because I just went out today and bought a bunch of grub for the freezer.
Of course if things get REALLY bad, i can just go and put the frozen stuff in the snow (we did that in Alaska, hang the food in a bag outside the window). The freezer may have been defrosting but by golly it was cold as sin outside....

Nemo wasn't that bad, at least we had advanced warning. Back in 1978 we didn't have a clue. All the stores will be open Sunday and the roads will be packed with lunatics, unlike the mental cases who drive during the storm.

ROFL... I'll bet the expressways will be a sight to behold, all of the ditch divers
Its absolutely amazing the type of weather people will take a vehicle out in.
What really gets me are the reporters who broadcast in weather i wouldn't be caught dead in.
All manners of heck are breaking loose around them and they are like, "Wow, the snow/rain/storm surge/hurricane etc. is really bad out here..."
I'm looking at the TV going, ' Bra, maybe you should get somewhere that's safe', lol

At least in CT we're not prepared for a storm of quite this magnitude. My kids have no school again tomorrow just to give the crews time to keep doing the roads. This was truly a blizzard, so keeping fire stations, hospitals, etc accessible was first priority. Then the winds kicked in and everything had to be maintained. It will take a few days before we're back up and running about again, and we're supposed to get a freezing mix again tomorrow :/
