So far, in central Jersey, no snow...yet. It rained & now nothing. I got a Subaru Forester, my third. The first saw a lot of snow within a week of purchase. Number 2 got me on the road with 30 inches of fluffy snow, no problem. Number three is over a year & a half old & never seen over 3 - 4 inches of snow. I'm waiting!!!

    "We all gonna die!"

OK, no, it's just a winter storm, we'll be fine and I'm only in the six to twelve inch band anyway.

However, given our performance locally during Sandy, I've also whipped up 250 ml of home-brew liquid (menthol cinnamon with a touch of chocolate, 18 mg/ml). I've charged every unit (7), each battery for mods (2), and each cig-alike just in case all heck breaks loose (7).

I'll keep recharging through the day tomorrow just in case.

Oh, yeah, I guess I should get food, too. :)

I'm just up the road in the Poconos .... generator at the ready. Feel free to stop by my place if your supplies/batteries run dry.

We aren't getting much in PA...especially SE PA...I agree, I always cut the expected totals in half..they said yesterday I would get 6-8 (I'm in northern Philly burbs) and the reality is I'm gunna get maybe 3. Unless your in the sweet spot I always underestimate. I too don't get the whole milk armegedon...even in blizzards it's tops stuck inside for 24 hours (even after sandy I could still get milk). And yea, anyplace that sells analogs also sells disposables nowadays..ESP 7/11

Why anyone would live where it snows is beyond me lol.

I was born here and my family is here =( Brutal out there, and not letting up for another 11 hours. I have a 50-60 foot 6 foot diameter cedar halfway to the ground under the weight of freezing rain/snow right now, probably going to lose some of my porch =( Fortunate its not going towards the house or my cars, or my neighbors house

    More pictures, please!

Our local stations are re-running video and coverage of the 1973 snow storm in GA. We had 3 feet of freak snow and the whole area was socked in for several days. We usually get an inch to 3 inches and schools and business close for a day or two. Ice storms are our greatest fear. Power goes down and the grocery store shelves get cleared the day before.

Did I mention that we have no snow plows? We just wait for the melt.
