Yea at one point we were trying to do a guess what the distorted picture is contest, but I never found the tools I wanted to make it work the way I wanted to.

I like this better than the distorted picture contest you used to have. It also brings people to your site to see what you have, so it's better for you!

Tick made the comment earlier about reading the postings to learn something new or perhaps help a new member. Anyone that has been around for any length of time knows that if a newbie asked a question about anything they are going to get 1 of these 2 responses.
1. buy a Provari.
2. buy a mechanical mod and a dripper and use a .5 ohm coil.
By the time most folks read the original post and offer some real suggestions there are already 5-6 pages of the above replies.
ECF is a great place for info. I just wish that folks would actually read the original posters question several times before they respond.
Ok I'll climb down off my shipping crate (aka soap box) now.
Have a good day everyone.

I know Kathi and I read alot of the posts on new stuff, questions etc. Yes, there is alot of BS but it seems, no offense to you younger peeps, that us old timers learned to skim through posts til certain words etc pop out and we find our answer or good suggestions. Alot of times, esp on a new piece of equipment, it takes alot of pages to get anything useful, 1, due to it being new and 2, people have used it longer and have found fixes and/or problems. Plus, being older, we don't live on Video games, lots of TV etc so we have lots of time to read or research. We came up when you had to read alot to research things. NO Google etc. So we are used to reading alot to learn a little. Old school vs new school. Not saying one is the better than the other.. YES I AM But researching and reading do go hand in hand.

But I agree, way too many people want others to fly to their own limits instead of letting the question asker go at their own speed...

Sorry Homie, that I or we stole your thread...

I guess it shows we like and trust you...

Good luck everyone, tomorrow another of us us win be a WINNER!!!!

I'm 40, an avid gamer and a licensed mental health counselor. I have learned easily how to research and skim. Careful what you say. ;-)

Laughs, 40 is old*, laughs.... (see below)

you still went to school when they taught stuff and the internet was still new....

remember the old saying... don't trust anyone past 30, well that's us. * 30 to 39 according to my Grandkids is middle age. I'm rated as a Dinosaur with them....

just saying. laughs. Different terms for different ages.

Chuckles. Under half a century is a young'n to me.
Yes, we did sort of sidetrack Homie's thread, but it was enlightening. There are still some of us that can make a trip to the library and do research the old fashioned way.
BY reading.:D

Good luck everyone and thanks Homie and EVC for the contest.
