They don't even PM the winner? I wonder if some of them even give an actual prize out then.

Homie runs a great contest. I'm thankful that he sends the winner a PM. Homie got me(us) spoiled to that.
Thanks EVC and Homie for the contests. I understand that some vendors are going for exposure so they do multiple entry contest that keep their contest on the front page of "new posts". I have done a few of those and being able to post as many times as you want didn't seem to help me..chuckles.

Ahhh so that's how it is in other threads. Yea, we like to keep things fair on all of our giveaways. I'm sure those shops don't have time to keep up with 10 pages of entries a day either. lol.

It also seems the same few people win most of them, the tons of post a day folks...

Why I like your giveaway and do business with your company...

Great customer service and fair to everyone.
not to mention some good prices....
ok, enough of that..

Good luck every one.

Of course this is not an entry...

I agree with Tick. There are some contests that are so spammed by entries that I'd never be able to see if I won. I have barely any internet connection where I live, and when there are 10 or more pages per day, I can't get all of them to load to find out if I won. I prefer contests like this, where people who either work, or have slow internet stand a chance of winning. Thank you from me too! :)
Funny you should mention, this past Sunday, I randomly found out from another member, that I won a contest 2 months ago and never knew! Of course, I prefer when vendors let participants know they won, but I can see the other perspective. "We're offering giveaways and if you really want it you'll pay attention." Just glad someone told me. Now, I limit myself on which contests I participate in. ;)

I know of at least two contest where you have to go back and read the posts to see if you won.
Another contest is limited to 2 entries a day and another is 3 entries per day. I know one PM's for sure and I feel pretty sure the other PM the winners. They use random number generator to select the post.
There have been a few that the contest sponsor just selects the winner.
Like someone said earlier, I am scaling back my contests entries and I do enjoy doing business with EVC. Quick shipping and great prices.

LOL It's funny that you should say that...there is one (I shall not name) that closes the thread when it ends, does not announce the winner, and supposedly just PM's them. But I have never heard anyone say they won! I don't care if I win so much...well, it would be nice, but it would be nice to know someone won more.

I pretty much gave up on another I won a while back on 9/7 because I still have not received the prize. :( They don't even respond to my emails.

So I appreciate how you run your contests and the time you take to respond to people!

Much love, Homie! :)

Is it getting that saturated out there? We don't have time to check out the other giveaway threads so we're pretty oblivious on how they're doing. Thanks for helping keep this giveaway alive!

It seems like most of the contests I see are for bad e-juice or ego starter kits. I wish there were more that either gave good juice, equipment, or store credits. You have a very nice contest!

Yeah, I saw you post on that thread Robin. :)

There are some though, that I visit every day, twice a day, without fail, and I still can't get every page to load, so I'm never sure whether I won or not. It's one of those contests with between 10 and 20 pages of very large photos every day. I think they might have some decent juice, so I keep trying, but that one seems to be hopeless.

Here's a work-a-round for those contest that don't PM the winner. Go to the start and click on the original contest starter and select view their post. You can quickly see if they made a post about a contest winner. I use this little trick for those contest that get 20 or so pages of post per day.

Too many hoops to jump through, not worth it for what you win...

Just don't enter many giveaways any more unless they have single or limited entries, like 2 max, no pictures....

Sorry, but there are lots of good threads to read and maybe help someone or learn something new....

Contests were fun once....

some still are.....

Tick made the comment earlier about reading the postings to learn something new or perhaps help a new member. Anyone that has been around for any length of time knows that if a newbie asked a question about anything they are going to get 1 of these 2 responses.
1. Buy a Provari.
2. Buy a mechanical mod and a dripper and use a .5 ohm coil.
By the time most folks read the original post and offer some real suggestions there are already 5-6 pages of the above replies.
ECF is a great place for info. I just wish that folks would actually read the original posters question several times before they respond.
Ok I'll climb down off my shipping crate (aka soap box) now.
Have a good day everyone.
