Sounds like a DIY challenge! Although where would the stylus tip go?

Pesky details ;) Move the charging contact to the side of the battery and put the led there so you can see it while vaping and put the tip where the charging contact is now.

Now that I use both the eroll and the ego bcc, I would really, really, like to see less expensive type A attys. When I compare the cost of Pro Tank, T3s mini or iSmoka mini attys, the price of Type As is ridiculous. If I ever had incentive to rebuild, I have it now.

I've found the type a attys for 18 per 5 pack. My bcc attys (pro tanks and evods) barely last me a week while the type a usually last about 2 weeks. At double the price I'm getting about the same price per week (hope that math made sense, in bad at explaining things like that.).

Thanks! Was that at Rocky Mountain Vapor with the coupon = $17.60 plus shipping? Yeh, getting twice the usage would come out closer to equal the other clearo heads. Hadn't thought of it that way but I've just gotten into clearos so haven't had the time using them to compare. I got one dud out of six in one of two iSmokas and, so far, I don't like Pro tank attys... off and on they taste like deisel fuel with my particular juice even after cleaning... so that only leaves the T3s mini heads that came with that I've been happy with but I can't find replacements and they won't work in my EVODs nor iSmokas (I don't think.) When I do find them (staying positive) the replacements may taste the same way the ProTank heads do since they're both Kanger. Anyway, it all adds up to continuing to mainly using the type A.

It was the Rocky Mountain deal. I bought the original protank mini and fell in love. Then a few days later I bought another one and then the off taste came, so I tried an EVOD...same thing. I've been burning through attys quickly. Every now and then I'll get one that lasts, but it always ends the same and at an inconvenient time. If you like the type A, you may want to try the Joyetech CC. It is on my to do list, just haven't done it yet. If it is good, I could get a few and stock up on type A attys and be set. But, I've learned that with a lot of this stuff, it works great for the first few days, then the problems start to creep up.

I'm also looking at trying the Aspire BDC Cartomizers / Tanks. Looks similar to a Vivi Nova (which I haven't tried) but the function is different. Pbusardo liked it in his review, if that matters to you. Again, I haven't tried it, but its on the list.

What I really need is something with the form factor of the eroll that holds significantly more juice and with an atty that is no maintenance and lasts a month or two at a time. Wishful thinking...

Ugh... sorry, I see I said ego bcc. What I meant was ego cc. I love it. There just seems so much confusion over the name of it though. When I went looking for a black one, since the one I had was silver, it seems there is another one called ego cc and its clear. Its nothing like this metal one I have that was called "new" with the newly designed air holes at the top. I think its the same as what others call a CE4 to confuse things even more. This is one item I have to depend on pictures for. I guess its the juice capacity but the atty performs even more impressively in it so I'm really happy.

I just wish the atomizer cone wouldn't get so hot. It really is a problem. It gets so hot it has stripped the paint from each and every atomizer cone I have, and it looks awful. And, of course, it goes without saying, it's very painful if you touch it accidentally.

I'd be happy if they fixed that one thing, but whilst I'm here, here's somet things i think would be cool. Note that I am not an engineer or anything so these might not be possible:

Soft filter tip option
increase tank capacity/atomizer efficiency
weight reduction
variable voltage
two slots in pcc for two full erolls (I realise they brought out that PCC extension not long ago, but in my opinion it looks awful)
Clip on PCC cases, iphone styley

Wow! I guess I vape differently as I've never had any of my dozen + erolls get anywhere near that hot. I vape like I smoked.. a draw long enough to make an eroll get that hot would burn a forth or more of a smoke with a single draw... no way. I don't think the eroll was made for anyone who takes that long a draw. Metal non-cigalike manuals with no coatings, that produce the same amount of heat but with atty areas that aren't touched, would be all I used if I vaped like that.

Its a choice. If you want the small form of an iphone but with storage for more than one fully assembled eroll, then the PCC battery would have to be smaller decreasing its mah and, thus, charging capacity. Keeping the mah as is and adding space for two more slots would make it so big I might as well just tote my big mah batteries with clearos around. That defeats the whole point of portability. However, personally, when one of my 3 PCCs goes belly up, I'm going to mod it into a carrying case for, I think, four fully assembled erolls... maybe three. The PCCs are too classy to just throw away and I'm not into trying to replace the battery in it.

Mine does get hot enough to burn, but I admit I do NOT use it like a cigarette. Circular/stovepipe type vaping is what does it, because the atomizer doesn't have time to cool off. I take a quick inhale burst between draws so that the battery doesn't cut off.

I don't do it constantly, just each drag is what you might consider a double drag. When I'm taking the second drag, I'm exhaling out my nose. So yeah, it can get that hot.

Sorry, I missed your post (I think LOL... age ya know.) Anyway, I now have six Ego CCs and have retired my EVODs and T3s minis. I'm still using one iSmoka that doesn't have a bad taste with my particular juice like the retired ones did. The retired ones all alternated between a "fishy" or "kerosene" under taste with every one of my 7 routine juices. So far, I'm very happy with the Ego CCs and Type attys as far as taste goes. But, I must say, the Ego CCs on my 1000mah Ego C passthroughs make me look like a Star Wars fan ;) especially with the silver tip they come with which I quickly replaced. They look fine on the 650s though... kinda classy actually... but I still don't care for that silver tip on those either.

Does it get hot enough to burn the coating like wilhelmsure described? I wonder what I do differently or if the products vary. I sure hope I never get one that gets that hot. I think Eric mentioned somewhere here that the atty casing (cone) touching the atty can cause that kind of heat. I've checked mine and only two, so far out of a bunch, of them touch. Those are those bleepin white ones I've mentioned that I got on sale from a vendor I don't normally use and I don't use them much but will pay close attention when I do to see if they get that hot.

Mine haven't lost the finish (yet). I suppose if you did what I do on a constant basis then I could see it happening. But even the way I do it the actual battery gets warm so I don't want to push the little guy too hard.

All of my atty's have the white rubber base. I've never looked to see if they touch the sides but they do fit snugly. I didn't know there were any other kinds. Mine are genuine Joyetech so I'm a bit confused.

Mine are all Joye-branded but tolerances do vary. The white ones I've mentioned are so tight that when removing the cone, the atty comes with it every time. I mean its in there and very hard to pull out. At first I had to use needle-nose pliers to pull it out and, after a few times and it loosening just a bit, had to use kleenex or something to get a better grip without the pliers but it took more finger strength than I had so I threw them in the backup drawer. Some others are tight enough that the atty comes off with the cone too but they aren't so tight as to be hard to pull the atty out of it. Then others never have that problem. The atty stays on the battery when removing to cone. I've never felt any heat at all from those incidentally so Eric is probably right.

Great suggestions.

+ 1 on all of these.

ALSO - they should make the PCC so you can change the battery. I'd pay a little more for a joyetech branded battery as long as I didn't have to throw it out simply because the battery is drained. I personally couldn't feel good about myself sending one off to a landfill simply because the battery can't be replaced...
