Wismec RX200 firmware V3.13 - pseudo charging

As soon as I upgraded my Wismec RX200 to the latest V3.13 firmware I have the following behavior:

Even with fully charged batteries (married – charged in a Nitecore D4) and disconnected from USB, the screen shows the blinking battery icon (with the ray) as it was charging. It continues lit until the batteries are fully discharged.

The device works perfectly, but this behavior consumes the battery energy much faster (1/3 the time it used to be), what is quite annoying.

I tried to reinstall the firmware upgrade, to dowgrade it to previus versions, etc, nothing worked.

I asked for help to Wismec support, but all I got is "Sorry your device has passed the 90-day warranty."

It seems to be a software problem, not a hardware one.

Anyone else with a similar issue? Or any ideas of what I could try to do?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't had that issue. Try downloading the Arctic Fox firmware and see if it is still doing the same thing. If you end up liking the Arctic Fox firmware, keep it (a lot of people seem to be liking the AF firmware including myself over the stock firmware). Hopefully that will help the problem your experiencing.

One thing comes to my mind, there is this software that analyzes the behaviour of the mod (can't quite remember the name) but you can on there and set the type of batteries you have, maybe this will reset whatever flag is causing the erroneous behavior

If you remember the name, post it on here. I'd like to read up on it and see what all it has to offer.

I thought it supports all major chips, RX, YiHi, DNA

It's only for DNA boards. However, you can install the ArcticFox firmware on most modern Wismec/Joyetech/Eleaf mods and use the included monitoring software.
