We got a call about 4pm that my mothers best friend, her cousin, closest thing to a sister she has, has a staph infection that has moved to her lung. She is a wonderful person and means a lot to me. She has beat ovarian cancer, then found out she had breast cancer while receiving chemo for breast cancer she lived with my mom and took care of my son when a daycare worker broke his leg at 18mths. She then beat the breast cancer. A few months ago she was diagnosed with throat cancer she was able to quit smoking using the Smoketip kit I bought her which she loved. They had to put a feeding tube in and I believe that is where the staph originated she has not been able to eat and was down to 120 lbs. She has no immune system because of the chemo and they know they have to operate to get the tube out but right now we are told operating is not an option they are working to get her breathing again. Please pray for her to beat this. She has beat so many things already and my mother is already devastated because this is what her mother died from right after beating lung cancer. She is in her early 50s and raising 2 of her grandchildren.

Now back to PIF and being happy. After all this is a great escape for things like this that everyone is dealing with. I can only hope she makes as good as a recovery as Ardents brother. Then I think I am going to have to get her a trophy for being such a strong woman!

My prayers are with her and your entire family! What a testament she is of having a true "will" to live. I stopped in the middle of even typing this very reply to start the prayers. I will continue to remember her and the family in my prayers. What a testimony she already has. I pray that you will be able to give her that Trophy very SOON! (indeed she deserves it) (((HUGS)))

Just read this to my 9 and 13 yr olds and before I could even finish reading my 9 yr old interrupted me to let me know he just prayed for her. The 13 yr old also just prayed for her so we have you covered up with prayers here. :)

Truly I pray that God will bring a great healing over her that will fall nothing short of simply amazing even the very staff of the hospital treating her. Prayers for strength for your mom and you to be able to have faith and turn this over 100% to God, so that his work can be done, just give it to him, let it go, and don't take it back. Sorry so lengthy, but this is one of my strongest most prominent beliefs. (prayer can make a difference, God works Miracles today just as he did in history)

Msqun thank you for your post that was wonderful. Also thank you to everyone else that prayed for Sandra and our family. Unfortunately they are having a meeting with the family in a few min because her organs are starting to shut down and since we went through this with my grandmother we already know Sandras mother will be asked if she wants to go ahead and take her off life support. There was also a mention of suspected bone cancer which would have been a another battle that is rarely won. I think God is about ready to call her home. In my book she will always be one of my heros and one of the strongest women I have ever met. And for anyone who does walks for cancer (which I am going to look into as well) please wear the name Sandra. Thank you everyone

Vleath,
I will continue to pray for your family to have strength and IF you believe the same way I do then there is a season for everything and Gods will is most certainly not always our own. The trophies she will have will far outshine anything we could ever compare to or imagine, if/when this time does come to pass. Once again, lifting you all up; now for strength to be able to handle whatever it is that God has planned. He always knows better than our human minds.
