Well I made some coffee extract today as part of my flavor adventure. I took a shot glass (made of glass) and put several ml of PG into it, then added an equal amount of ground coffee. Then put in into the microwave for 6 seconds, and yes that's all it takes. Stirred it while hot for a minute, folded a paper napkin stuck it on top and used my juice syringe to suck out the coffee extract. Pretty potent stuff, only need a few drops.

Just mixed some up and it taste great. I made it because I thought adding a small amount of coffee extract to mild tobacco flavors might enhance them adding a little robustness and I can always mix up a strong batch mixed with honey, vanilla, brown sugar for an awesome cappuccino juice.

Forgive my ADD, but I'm not getting a clear picture of something.

You folded a napkin and stuck it on top.

What, on top of the shot glass, I'm guessing?

Then used a syringe to suck out the extract?

What, you stuck the needle through the napkin? If so, why use the napkin?
Could you have just poured the extract through the napkin into another
container to filter it?

I'm gonna try this if I can get it into my fat head.

Also, if this works so well, then it should work with a good leafy tea. This
opens a coupla doors for lots of juices.

I used an oral syringe (blunt plastic nozzle point). I took a small square 3"x3" of paper towel, folded it a couple times and set it on top of the coffee/pg 50 50 mix. Pressed the syringe nozzle lightly against the towel and slowly sucked up the extract filtering everything but the liquid. If you have a syringe that has a skrew off needle, you can unskrew it and use the blunt nozzle to suck the extract faster. Also you can use a Q-tip or cotton ball instead of paper towel.

You can pour it through a filter if you want using gravity. I use my method because it's quicker and cleaner. You have to use a filter to suck the extract through otherwise it will clog up the syringe before you get any juice.

Thanks. I'm gonna do this. I have several DIY concentrates, but, of course, none of those
you used to make the recipe. But, I'll get them or similar and do this.

As far as someone asking about instant coffee, I think the answer is, "would you
drink it?" If not, then don't vape it. Instant coffee is nasty.

Grab a 1/2 shot glass full of Folgers and smell the coffee :)

I drink instant coffee - ouch

OK, I shoulda said, "I think" instant coffee is nasty. No offense meant.
I sure wouldn't want to offend anyone from Katy :)

so...

I think instant coffee is nasty.

Actually, if you like it, I don't see why it wouldn't work as long as you
filtered it. Instant does have its own unique taste that might be good
with the addition of other ingredients.

I put an equal mix of pg and ground coffee beans, just eye it up a 50/50 mix of both. Put in microwave NO longer than 6 seconds, should be hot. Then stir for a minute, suck it up it up with a syringe through a filter (can be small piece paper towel or cotton Q-tip). It was really easy and you'll be surprised how strong it is.

Oh and I just used my folgers, already ground ready to go coffee. Then mix to taste, I ended up putting about 10 drops into a 10ml juice blend. So I would say depending on your taste 1-2 drops per ml.

I am going to have to put this thread on subscribe. I received my first order from WL last week, made a few juices and am surprised at how much I love them. Today, I got in another order. I got so carried away with excitement that I ordered like 40 more flavors. Now I have well over 50 of theirs *oops* BUT I only have one with tobacco because I have stayed away from tobacco flavors. I love vaping all the sweet and fruity flavors. I am missing tobacco a little so I ordered the double ry4. I figured that will give me a happy medium with a lil tobacco and a lil sweetness. I may just have to order more tobacco flavors now. Someone take my credit card before I get in any more trouble!!! lol

LOL dam, I have been reading your posts and while I am sure you aren't laughing, you have given me a good laugh. I have a candle & bath/body business. I had MANY errors with my formulas along the way. I truly can relate lol I have managed 2 vapable juices so far. My problem right now is with so many flavors sitting here, I don't know what I want to make! lol

BTW dam, I "attempted" to make buttery nipple as my first mix. OMG the irish cream was soooooo strong it was almost gag worthy lol Glassman is on another forum with me so he helped me through that one. I have it steeping to see if I could salvage it lol BTW, ripe banana is probably stronger than irish cream so use it sparingly if you have it.......not that I would know or anything *bats eyes innocently* lol

No Mimi - I am laughing too.........my first attempt at DIY was abt 4 months ago mostly single fruit flavors - gave up - 10 flavors - mixed em all together in one bottle - dont have the courage to try it - lol. Next was abt 2 months ago - mostly only tobacco flavors - gave up again - mostly FA flavors - still steeping. Next the entered the world of DIY rewicking and recoiling - that I was decently successful at. Than found this thread and realized most tobacco flavors need an added flavor/sweetness......made 8 more - on Thursday - a couple a ok - couple flowery/perfumy - steeping em - not giving up - yet.....lol

Dam, We will work out a trade. I will trade you diy ejuice for the diy wicks and coils lol I am not very successful at that, I have 5 left thumbs I think. One day I will grow up and actually be able to use the rads lol

Anytime - FYI - I am not into the real RBAs - I am a novice - I rewick mostly with Cotton and recoil CE2s and CE5s - have a vivi - still in the box.....what do you use?

i would love to make my own atomizers.. if wizard labs sold them i would have them by now even though i wouldnt be using them.....

you ask: why would you buy them, build them, and not use them..

i say: because i dont have a good device with short circuit protection... so i refuse. better safe than sorry huh?

it sucks because i only use vivi nova tanks.. which to me are the best.. i have a dct but its not as good.. but close enough to use when im out of atty's.. i just hate having to pay 5 bucks for an atty at my local vaping store when i could make them for alot cheaper.. the problem with this is that i can order attys online for alot cheaper than going to my local vape shops buuuuuuutttt, im never sure if the atty im looking at online are the right atty's for my vivi nova because i have 2 different tanks... one atty is shorter than the other.. but i like the longer ones better.... its just difficult to tell and i feel like some attys that i see are from another planet.. lol.. i dont want to waste my money ..

I bought a cheap ($50) Young June VV (aqua vapor calls em mygo). I got the version 2 came with a vivi too. It has an ohm checker - although I dont think it is very accurate - but works to make sure the coil is working. Since I am stuck on CE2s - I am thinking of making a syringe tank mod. I have emailed valley vape to find our if their tank will work with a CE2 - I rather have a pyrex tank than polyprop. When I bought my first KGO 1100mah kit - I also ordered a Amok Tech DCT - could never get it to work. Today I tried to mod it to fit a CE2 - but broke the grommet. I hear they are making CE2 style celaros for these tanks too.......but I wanna make my own....this is a hobby - seems to be an expensive one - lol - but folks here are so helpful - everything I know and attempt is through the help of ppl here....
