WL and TFA Menthol in PG

I recently switched from Wizard to TFA for my flavors and quickly found out that the two companies have very different Menthol in PG. I mixed my recipes as though they were the same and the TFA is way stronger, my bad. I called TFA and they say they use a dilution of 6% and per the WL site they claim 10% which means that if anything the TFA should be milder. Has anyone ran into this before? My next step is to cut the percentage used in half and go from there. I hope the task to find the right conversion will not be a difficult one. Hopefully someone will have a conversion already figured out for this and can post it here. Thanks.

it's strange, WL gets most of there flavors from TFA. They must be diluting the crystals there. Anytime I can get a powder or crystal over a liquid form (EM, Vanillin, Menthol, etc) I opt for the solid, much more consistent to dilute yourself. 1gr of a powder in 10ml of PG will give you a 10% solution, for menthol I use 5gr crystals to 10ml PG (and only use a tiny bit in the final juice).

BTW, If you have never seen menthol crystals, they are really cool, they look like quarts shards, but smell like vicks.

I've run into this at the very same spots. I sample when I get it. I got broke from just loading up new flavors like they were the same as the old. Made me start buying straight from TFA and FW. I go to a retailer if they don't have what I'm after but that hasn't happened yet and don't suspect it will. They make all the stuff after all.

So right now I have my Menthol down to .5% TFA Menthol from 4% Wizard Menthol and it is still too strong. I think I need to call TFA back and see if this maybe an error on there part. I figure it will be at .25% TFA to match Wizard. If I only had a few ML I might just deal with it, but I have 4oz of this and either I dilute it with pg, or convert all my recipes then possibly have to convert them back when I get a new bottle of Menthol. Also I need to heat the recipe afterwards to get everything to mix or it will be cloudy where as before I never had this problem.

Got an email from TFA and I must have not heard them right when I talked to them last night. The dilution is 66 percent menthol 34 percent pg. I am at work and don't have access to a calculator. Could someone help me out with how much pg to add to a ml of this concentration to get me to a 10 percent dilution? Thanks in advance
