Need percentage recommendations for TFA/TPA Menthol

Every now and then I get a craving for a menthol/tobacco vape (I only vape tobaccos). Now is one of those times. That said, I added TFA/TPA Menthol to my most recent order, but not really sure of a good percentage as I've never used it.

So, if you've gone after that "menthol cigarette" feel, mind chiming in with a percentage for this particular flavour?

Well, it'll depend on your level of menthol enjoyment. I find that one drop of TFA menthol in 10ml of unflavored is plenty. For a percentage recommendation I'd say perhaps 0.25% to 0.5% to start with and adjust from there.

All I know is that menthol can be extremely strong, and it’s a very cheap flavor so it often is.

You can always put more in but you can’t take it out again. Also flavor preferences change radically individual by individual. I would personally go by adding very small amounts and testing it repetitively. It becomes a question of what you in particular like, and that is a question only you can answer.

Thanks, guys. I was leaning towards 0.5-1% based on what I found researching....So, think I'll start at 0.5 and go from there.

I have a recipe that calls for 6% TFA, so it's all a matter of personal preference..

But make a small tester with .5%, then another with 1%, another at 2%, and go up from there (3, 6) and after a two week steep see what level you prefer..

If the tobacco mix needs to age for best flavor, you may want to mix two batches. One containing menthol from day one and the other with menthol added after the base has aged.
You may also want to consider adding a mint type flavor for a more rounded menthol and/or a cooling agent to enhance the mouthfeel.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks.

Mixed at 1% with "Sweet Brightleaf" from Stixx Mixx (a "plain" tobacco, to my taste, that I like to have mixed up and on hand), and the 1% seems to be about where I'd want it.

For me 2% standalone is the perfect menthol vape at 60 vg.

I go 3% for MTL and about 1% for DL, it certainly matters how you vape as with more power (vapor) comes more flavor.
