The store I went to today makes all their juices at the shop and make them 70/30 PG/VG... Well the sampler I got was the first juice I've used with any PG in it (mostly used to the Boba my buddy gives me), and man was it different.

A harddd throat hit that made me cough mid inhale and spit up phlegm real quick (probably doesn't help I've had sinus drainage from allergies the past 4 days and am just starting to feel better).

Thing is...I don't really crave a throat hit like a lot of people do. For me, vaping is more the oral fixation and seeing what I just inhaled come back out in a big wispy puff..weird I know.

But from what I read, VG is better for this?? With VG juice, it seems I can take in a generous vape before I feel that throat hit, then just let it all out feeling relieved and satisfied.

If you don't want to use liquid with PG then don't use it. There's nothing wrong with vaping 100% VG liquid except that it doesn't work as well in cartos/tanks due to the slow wicking.

There are also other things besides PG that contribute to throat hit. Nicotine level, voltage, what type/flavor of liquid, what you're vaping out of, etc...

I would definitely say that if you are enjoying VG, stick with it! I have a hard time finding 100%PG juice that doesn't taste chemmy to me, but it is out there-just harder to come across. If you stick with VG-based liquids, your supplies will probably need cleaning/replacing more often, as it is THICK when you use it un-thinned. Some people thin their 100% VG with distilled water or ethyl alcohol (the kind that you drink).

I use 100% VG as much as possible and there are vendors who make juices specifically 100% VG and many that will offer a 100% VG option. I too am very sensitive to and have the same reactions as you to the PG. I use an eGo Twist 650, Kangar or eGo excalibur clearomizers at 2.2 - 2.4 ohms and have never had a problem with clogged atties or wicking. Nicotine strength can dictate throat hit, but I do suspect its the PG that's causing you most grief at this time. And if you want the vapor on exhale, you will most certainly get it from all VG! This may or may not be helpful, but if I use 100% VG whenever I can, I find I can tolerate as much as 50% PG on those flavors where a lesser or zero PG option just isn't available.
